I have found the differences between colors from other vendors to be generally the same--yellow is like yellow, red is like red, nothing too wildly different.
ALTHOUGH, I have heard of some people getting yellow sold as cielo. Maya had this incredible kick-your-ass cielo once, a long time ago, that has never cropped up again.
THAT cielo was nothing like a lot of the other cielo going around. There are some variations, but it's not the bulk of what I have experienced, and all in all, any differences between vine are simply interesting.
If you cook a lot... you'll know when you cook. You'll know by the smell, color, and taste... The vine will tell you, it doesn't matter how man labels her...
I just love Maya because they are ethical and consistent. ALWAYS. Some sketchy vendors once sold me $700 of foul-tasting sticks that may not have been Ayahuasca (totally inactive @ 500g, wtf?)... so, you know, as long as your vendor is trustworthy, chances are there will be a repeatably identifiable and marked difference between colors.
No vine is weaker than any other vine... they are just like people... wonderfully unique and different. Some may resonate more with you than others.
Some things will come easy, some will be a test
