ive been playing didge since last summer when i got a bamboo didge from this music festival i went to. it sounds awesome when you're tripping and is even more awesome to play. recently ive been playing for people when they blast off and they seem to really enjoy it. anyhow, im starting to think about getting a real didge(eucalyptus instead of bamboo) and i was wodering if anyone knew any good sites to purchase one.

On an off-topic note, the very first time I broke through on smoked, Spice, my auditory senses were filled to the brink with the most phenomenal didgeridoo throat speaking. Prior to that experience, I simply thought it sounded goofy; now, it is more beautiful then anything I could manage on the piano.

On that alone, I've become convinced it is the voice of earth.

On topic - Here is a nice site that describes what you should look for when buying a didge: http://www.didjshop.com/...1/didj_buying_guide.html

As revealed by google, there are plenty of sites to purchase from, but sorry to say that I can't be of help with any, as I have never purchased one.

Totally worth it to buy a good quality didgeriddo. Played for a couple of years (mostly during summers), and it is an awesome instrument. Very intuitive.

I would advice to try a didgeridoo before buying it. Bought mine at a small shop in a festival. The guy had about 20 different didgeridoo and I tried them all before I found the one that is now mine. These instrument have souls, I wouldn't buy one over the internet.

But if it's your only option, I'd say you can go for it.

i really agree with that. sometimes when i play didge on mushrooms i feel less like im playing it and more like im channeling the energy of the earth into sound. it leaves people speechless.

i would much rather buy a didge in person i just dont know where i would be able to find a place that sells them.

I also have a feeling similar to this when on acid I felt I was channeling or speaking the language of some deeply rooted force or intelligence it seemed more like an ancient alien praise to life.
