All, I just googled around to see if there were any commercial products to remove oxygen from inside a storage container....and there are. You will find several types of products if you search "oxygen absorber".

The devices in link below are made of ground iron and are used for food storage (to keep something like beef jerky fresh). These devices eliminate 99% of the O2:

There are other materials for absorbing O2 but the packets above are cheap (~$15.00 for 200 packets that work in a 20 cc storage container). Sounds good to me.
