LOL! THe dmt vote. The thing is, when you say Republican, that depends on the definition of the word. Lately, more people seem to be saying that republicans have lost their identity. That republicans go against the values they were supposed to support all along. Many are saying that the Sarah Palins of the world are not "republicans".
If a republican actually acts in accordance with what they are purported to stand for, then I'd vote "Republican". Otherwise, all I think of when I think of Republican is...
no taxes.
Immigrants gtfo.
Jesus.
Keep the rich getting richer, poor getting poorer.
More government spending on militant control.
More severe jail sentences for all.
I believe drug laws are by

the most serious government enforced human rights violation issue in North America. The right to choose what to do with your own body should be a basic human right. This isn't even the same issue as abortion. The problem with abortion is you have people disagreeing whether a fetus counts as an individual or not. No one would be against abortion if everyone agreed that a fetus is just another part of a woman's body that can be removed like a mole. The drug issue has no such confusing factor. Currently, people simply do not have the basic right to do as they choose with their own body. Any politician who has the balls to actually do something about the drug issue, I would vote for. If the war on drugs would cease, America could finally call itself the land of the free.
