In the past few months I've discovered what, to me, is the perfect way to smoke spice. I breakthrough every single time on 50mg of 1:1 Changa (only 25mg of spice) with a single hit and believe that others might benefit from this secret that I've discovered.

While learning to smoke with the GVG I found it frusturating at first because I had to learn by trial and error the proper way to smoke it. It was difficult to gauge inhalation speed vs. flame distance vs. quantity of spice vs. how many hits, etc.

I've now had the most intense breakthroughs ever, always lasting between 8-12 minutes thanks to this magical secret I am about to share with you...

There is a "sweet spot" on the GVG (at least on mine) that is sort of like a low pitched whistle when the flame is the right distance away and the proper inhalation speed is being used. It takes a second or two to find but once I hear that sound I know to keep on doing what I'm doing. The changa vapes perfectly and with a single hit, the chamber fills with so much vapor that it's almost opaque and the entire bowl is transferred into my lungs. I don't need to take a second hit because after 5 seconds of holding my breath I know that I'm in for a ride, and there's nothing left in the bowl anyway. I could smoke the GVG this way with my eyes closed and perfectly everytime without having to constantly adjust my flame distance and inhalation speed.

If you're having trouble figuring out how to use your GVG, I urge you to try and find that sweet spot sound. And probably most importantly, do not smoke spice timidly. Be brave and jump in and you will have the most amazing experience. Trust me my friends, there is NOTHING to fear. It is sheer beauty.

Happy Blasting,

Thank you for your post.
I just got a GVG so I'm just learning the best way to use it.I've only smoked freebase 'cause caapi is regulated where I live but I have some other herbs in the mail.
So the GVG is good for vaping changa Smile That's good to hear.

So what is your changa blend?

is this with normal lighter or torch lighter? If its with a torch lighter, does the sound happen even while youre not inhaling or do you need to inhale for the sound to come? Does it matter how strong you inhale? Does the sound come from the genie itself or from the lighter or?

The sound happens only when you are inhaling and with a torch lighter. It seems the sound is a result of the hot air being inhaled through the VG. Mine only makes the sound if I have the lighter on it. As soon as I find that whistle range and can hold it the spice starts vaporizing very efficiently. I use a 1:1 changa blend, usually with passion flower and/or caapi.

I don't get a whistle, but I get a "thwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwapthwap" sound that sounds like there's a leaf or piece of paper over a vent hole. It's like this vibrational sound that i think is made from the way the flame is interacting with the airflow around it and the sound is magnified by the "resonance chamber" of the GVG's body. The thing to remember in regards to the GVG is that they are all handblown; thus no piece is identical. So it's definitely possible that they make lsightly different sounds at that "sweet spot" or even that some make sounds and some do not. It would be interesting to hear if the majority of GVG users report any sound at all, and if so, how similar the sounds are.

Mine doesn't do this when vaping but does whistle when I blow through after cleaning, so when it's empty with no filter Sad
Maybe should I try harder to make it happened...

Sorry to raise a 2 year old topic but I saw this the other day and I thought about it last night.

Last night I tried a tubular method of the machine with a glass mj pipe for the first time ever (I had only tried changa, sandwhich and lightbulb method up until last night)and it worked perfectly, I never realised the vapors could be so smooth and aromatic as opposed to how it is when burned.

I was really surprised after what seemed like a deep breath of oxygen to find the smoothest smoke ever expelling from my lungs.

On my 3rd pull (after removing a cigarette filter I had near the mouth end because it was restricting the airflow too much and I wasn't getting enough vapours fast enough) I started to hear a whistle sound. It sounds a lot like those old school kettles that whistle at boiling point! I found that if I kept the flame at that 'sweet spot' I could pull as hard or soft as I wanted without scorching the product at all.

Unfortunately this was my last dose until I get some bark, and due to the fact of the cigarette filter inhibiting large hits, I wasn't able to achieve a sub-breakthru' or anything like that, but I DID notice visuals like halos and rays around the lighters flame and some creeping of the floors and walls which is BOMBASTIC news for me seeing as I have been getting little to no effect the last 10 or so times I have tried with both enhanced leaf and freebase.

Ah, feels good to be on the right track... Now just for the bark to arrive!

Safe travels!
