So you know how the first jar you use, you put in water, bark, and NaOH?
Well once I stop getting good yields from it, can I just dump it out and put new MHRB+water+NaOH without washing it? Or should I just throw it out all together and get a new jar?

Definitely reuse the jar! Washing doesn't seem like a huge deal... I just like to keep things clean. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

As in not super important. It's quite easy though. They use lye as drain cleaner. Just dump carefully in toilet and rinse a few times. PK Dick is to LSD as HP Lovecraft is to Mushrooms

I wouldn't re-use it, myself. Lye etches glass. Using the same glass repeatedly over time will only increase the chances of an exploding faceful of base (which you really don't want - unless of course you like the base in your face).
