So a while back SWIM thought about using MDMA to help take the edge off the crazy ride that Sally D always supplies. Candy Flipping with Sally. So after finally finding some MDMA, SWIM was ready to experiment.

Confused Laughter

- 4 grams of Salvia leaves (plain, sublingual)
- 100mg of MDMA (oral)

So like always, SWIM cleaned up SWIMs room to make sure there were no obstacles in case SWIM decided to get up in SWIMs
salvia daze. After cleaning the room, SWIM promptly took 100mg of MDMA and put on SWIMs headphones and listened to some
classic R.E.M tunes (SWIM hates the high pace rave songs while on MDMA).
45 minutes later the MDMA had a very nice warm and fuzzy feeling with only some minor jaw clenching at this point. SWIM
then began stuck a 2 gram wad of salvia in his mouth and left it in for 15 minutes. He could start feeling the mild
heaviness of salvia weighing down on SWIM. SWIM spat out the 2 gram wad and replaced it with another and waited another 20
minutes. By the end of the 20 minutes the salvia was definitely starting to get stronger quickly (maybe the MDMA made it come on quicker??) and the songs SWIM was listening to began to not make sense anymore, with the MDMA taking that confusion way out of proportion. Just as SWIM was taking SWIY headphones off though, SWIM caught the last few words of the song SWIM was listening to before turning the mp3 player off and thought it was immensely funny "I'm pushing an elephant up the stairs". SWIY've always had a hard time describing SWIY salvia trips but SWIM can say with great pleasure that SWIM was not scared at any time during SWIY trip, which has never happened to SWIM. SWIM laughed at everything and everything laughed back. It wasn't a standard laugh at one joke and continue onto something else.... it was one of those "you've been laughing for so long you forgot what you were laughing at" jokes which worked wonders with the dissociation effects of the salvia. SWIM felt the salvia definitely dominated the trip, but the MDMA without a doubt took the usual dissociation/fragmentation edge off.

SWIMs other experiment wasn't so great, but the salvia still dominated with the MDMA throwing SWIM for a loop.

Maze of Emotion

- 20X salvia extract (smoked)
- 100mg of MDMA (oral)

Same thing as above, waited the 45 minutes before smoking the salvia extract, except this time SWIM didn't listen to music
before hand. SWIM took my one hit of salvia extract and thought SWIMs heart had jumped from my body the way SWIM was blasted with the MDMA and Salvia. SWIM crashed into salvia land with strange trees and plants everywhere, but they all seemed to create a predetermined "path" so I followed it. SWIM looked up at one "tree" and was in amazement and awe by the size which seemed to
stretch forever. SWIM was in such an amazement that SWIM actually started to cry in awe. SWIM would then continue down the path and find another tree that SWIM would look at and this time SWIM became extremely confused. The next was laughter, and so on and so on.... going on for what seemed like eternity. SWIM almost couldn't take it anymore. Switching emotions this fast with such intensity, in retrospect SWIM surprised SWIM made it out still sane. Eventually SWIM came back to earth and realized SWIM was on the floor of my room (SWIM smoked the salvia on SWIY bed). So with this experiment SWIM found while the Salvia definitely dominated the experience again, the MDMA was very strong in this experience and didn't really seem to take the edge of like SWIM was hoping. It instead made the experience more emotionally intense than SWIM was expecting.

Overall SWIM find that there is definitely potential for this combo and SWIM going to try it again eventually.

This was SWIM's initial thought about such a combination. MDMA has always made SWIM very emotional and empathic, but mixed with something like Salvia, he thinks it could become too intense.

Interesting report, nonetheless.
