I have always enjoyed sitting down and taking my spice to some psychedelic ambient music and things like that. Here's a list of some good recommendations for artists who seem to make music made for tripping =) Please add any you enjoy as well, I need some new tripping playlists!

Shpongle
Flying Lotus
Golden Panda
Astral Projection
1200 Micrograms

If I choose to take psychedelics indoors, I must have music. When this happens I would lean towards any of the following:

Shpongle
Entheogenic
Shulman
Younger Brother
Ott
Slackbaba
Androcell
Bluetech
Celtic Cross
Future Sound of London

sorry for the partial repost - but you REALLY have to check out that Chris clark album, Body riddle (under the name Clark, i believe). And Legion of green men - a canadian elctro-duo that play a selfstyled "Gronk". Check out their albums. whats on MYspace doesn't do them justice.

BRILLIANT. GENIUS. OTHERWORLDLY. Tryptamine vessels all of 'em.

Shit, now I have the problem of not having enough time to trip to them all!

Another good one I left out that I haven't seen reposted is an artist called Orbital. Dope sauce.

I like to listen to some of the psychedelic trance streams from Shoutcast - let the universe do the playlist!
Philosomatika, Elektrowave, Subflow are all good examples, bet theres loads more too.

I really like journeying with Plastikman (richie hawtin).
Michael Mayer - Immer (on Kompakt) is a really good one too.
Also (oldie but goodie) The Orb - Blue Room (the full 30 minute single version)

A brand new day is dawning
A light that will anoint thee
A sign from the subconscious
An angel sent to guide me
The searching will be over
The call will now be gentle

These artists are more IDM but still perfect for any journey.
Check out

Proem ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULe-ze0AWMA ) This is just an example of what is work is like, he's produced a lot.
Arovane ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSGOoQrL1Rk ) Tides is an amazing album, Arovane for life.
Boards of Canada ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4V_eTQd9c1k ) I've taken a massive rip with this song playing, WOW.
Odd Nosdam ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj5P28rHvoo ) Great tunes.

I absolutly have to recomend Boards of Canada but I do find one or two tracks a little uncomfortable to listen to when I'm high. For some old school Ambient/Alternative you can't go wrong with Steve Hillage's Green album.

All great suggestions already posted. Don't forget:

- Carbon Based Lifeforms
- Sun Control Species
- Antix
- Vibrasphere

All posts by this author are blatant plagiarisms, fictitious inventions, and outright lies.
