So just to give a heads up here.. Me, and a lot of people Ive read posts from, seemed to assume that, first of all, syrian rue contains mostly harmine and some harmaline, and secondly, that products from same vendors would have a consistency in the alkaloidal content.
Last time I had extracted rue, from Maya, it had a ratio of
3:1 harmine:harmaline .. Now Im just finishing another extraction, also from Maya (maybe a couple of months of distance), and its
1:2 harmine:harmaline, which is a HUGE difference! Specially for those consuming mixed rue extracted alkaloids or ingesting the unprocessed rue or tea, this means the effects will be very different and the dosage necessary may be halved, depending on the seeds.
Did anybody else notice this? Do you guys think this might be the same with all sorts of products (like for example the b-carboline alkaloid in mimosa might be in very different amounts in different batches, unlike the insignificant percentage as seen by
burnt's analysis with one particular batch ). Or also I think about chaliponga, if 5-meo content is too high in one particular batch it might get dangerous for people to brew it using orally...
