SWIM has received some MHRB and is about to do their first extract using nomans tek. Is the the easiest most efficient way or is their a greater yielding tek? Thanks.

noman's is incredibly easy, has a great yield, and produces grade A spice.

As with every tek, Noman's has its pros and cons. While it's an easy way to jump into the experience, there really is no substitute for plenty of research into the how's and why's of an extraction. So, go ahead use Noman's tek and see if you enjoy the results (you will) and then try out an A-B and see how it compares.

before actually doing it, read a few more teks just to understand what exactly is going on I posted a tek here . Even though its not anything incredibly new, I tried writing some tips and explanations that weren´t in other teks, added a couple of easy cleaning up steps and also posted some pics.. Maybe read if you want, you might visualize some things a bit better. Then decide for yourself what exact way you do it. good luck, and tell us how it went

SWIM currently has jars in the freezer. He used only 50g MHRB on his first attempt, and has checked the freezer and snow globes are forming. About how long should he leave then in the freezer? Yields will be posted as soon as they are available. Thanks for all the help.

My Overview covers the basics behind any given extraction, but isn't really a tek, just a handy reference. Basically, for straight-to-base, Noman's tek is the most consistent in its results, while Lazyman's is probably the simplest. With these teks, some people have expressed concern that some lye may end up in the product, so be sure to do a sodium carbonate wash (described in my overview and in Vovin's tek) For acid/base extractions, Marsofold's tek is pretty simple and reliable. Vovin's tek is very thorough and informative, but it goes overkill on cleanup steps; it's probably the most informative tek, but it takes a lot more time and effort than the others.

Just keep in mind that if one uses the Noman tek with pre-powdered bark, they'll probably need to use 50 - 100% more water.

seems as though all went well. only yielded about 50mg of the first pull but was a bit harsh on the lungs. maybe SWIM didn't wash well enough in ammonia since the yield was so small and he was impatient to see if nomans tek was successful, and it was. will continue to evap the rest of the pulls.
