ok so many feet of pedro were skinned and de cored and made into a lemon tea,
3 batches over the course of a day with the final being blendered before squeezing the pulp of any more juice

they are added together and reduced to a half gallon or so

lye is used to get the ph up to around 12-13 (mix lye with 200 ml water then add to the tea)

agitate

add some amount of xylene *how much xylene?* and shaken 3 times in an hour alowing a bilayer to form each time

the xylene layer is siphoned off

and the re crystalization process begins? right?
SWIM will use citric acid

mix citric acid into water (water volume = 1/5 amount of xylene)
when no more citric acid dissolves salt with the citric water

adding the citric water to the xylene forms another bilayer, the citric acid layer is siphoned off an evaporated, leaving dirty mesc citrate ?

more salting is done to the xylene until no more can be yielded through evap. *how many xylene washes are done on cactus tea? until clear again?*

the ph is bumped up again and new clean xylene is added, shaken, separated, then salted until no more is yielded

the dirty phenythylamines are gathered

and washing and recrystalization is next?

thanks for the help
