Hi team

I was recommended this forum by a friend, and I must say the amount of information available here is astonishing.

It's refreshing to see educated arguments and differing opinions and particularly great to see "I stand corrected" written every now and again.

A bit about myself.

I grew up attending outdoor festivals, mid to late teens (around 04-05), love the environment, love the people and love the peace.

I've consumed some things in my time that work well with nature, the spice eluding me for quite some time, up until about a month ago when I went on a very mild journey aided by JP's finest put together by my friend.

I've been like a sponge ever since and this place has been fantastic. Oddly specific questionnaire aside (I'm kidding I see the merit).

I have a basic Chemistry understanding and I'm very safety conscious.

In my spare time I enjoy gaming, electronic music production and sometimes literally doing nothing.

Thanks for having me Smile

Definitely agree about the "I stand corrected" statement, it's pretty nice to see people able to admit their own mistakes. It might have something to do with a community with plenty of members who've experienced ego loss ha Laughing

What would you say the most fascinating aspect of the substance is? I'm definitely like a sponge too, but certain things are more interesting than others, to me at least.

By far the most fascinating thing for me is shared experience. As in seeing the same thing so many others have seen. Absolutely wild to wrap your head around.

I had the same experience with a person sitting right next me, very close friend of mine and we saw the same things at the same time. This was on a small dose of LSD but it boggles the mind that connections can be made like this all around the world.

Joe_Durt,

Welcome to the Nexus and thank you for that introduction.

I have been here for a long time and long ago we had a member named Joe Dirt, but you appear to not be related. Very happy

So, by your timeline, I imagine you're in your 30's currently. Have you been a steady user of psychedelics the entire time or were there breaks? Is there a difference in how you approach the experience now as compared to your younger festival days?

So, you tried DMT and liked it. I think this is wonderful and with your basic chemistry knowledge and orientation towards safety and learning I do not see how you could fail in doing your own at home extraction. The wiki link in the upper left corner of the forum has all the extraction TEK's.

I am glad you signed up and hope to see you around. Again, welcome.

Hi Pandora. I would say over the course of my journey so far, I've always approached psychedelics with a healthy amount of caution and respect. Once or twice a year with breaks of years sometimes. Depends on where I find myself really.

Oh definitely. Anybody could boil down the experience to 'random hallucinations,' but it's these types of things that happen so prevalently that it just seems like there has to be something more.

Even stranger to me though is why shared experiences only sometimes happen, and not just always or never. Very interesting stuff.
