Hey Peeps,

Back here again after some time away, have a new profile as couldn't remember my user name.

Been looking at spending this year getting myself back to where i need to be. Its been an extremely hard few years for me as i know it has for all of us on our journeys.

Was living in Australia and had been for 6 years but lost my driving license for 2 years for testing positive to THC!, im back in the UK for a while now while I sort some stuff out to deal with my depression which i have been suffering from since i was 19.

I am just curious to see if anyone has any knowledge on micro-dosing with Mdma?

I know you can micro-dose on LSD but was hearing that Mdma can also be a good way with working with PTSD.

I am looking at doing an Ayahuasca retreat later this year in Peru for a few weeks as i have heard this is very beneficial for people with depression.

Thanks in advance for you time, Sending love and peace.

Lloyd

Hello! I dont have the experience with it or the proper data, but my guess is that microdosing MDMA can't be healthy in the long run.

The way LSD or most psychedelics work is by being parcial agonist of some serotonin receptors. Serotonin itself is not disturbed by them, but they link to the same places serotonin is supposed to link to.
On the contrary, MDMA acts as a serotonin releaser: It takes the serotonin that's already in your "storage facility" and floods your system with it. It doesnt create more serotonin, it uses what's already in there.

My point is: Using traditional psychedelics doesn't "waste" your stored neurotransmitters, while MDMA does. That's why its only recommended to use it 2-4 times a year at most, so you can build back your storage again. I guess using it on a regular schedule, even in low doses, can lead to serotonin depletion, serotonin receptors downregulation, and depression.

P.D. Somebody with more technical knowledge, please contribute with more details Smile

Edit: Please don't mix ayahuasca and MDMA. That's a dangerous combo (not because of DMT, but because of IMAO containing plants)

I can only echo what pantostao says. I would suggest that the main benefit from molly is to take a proper dose once or twice a year, enjoying the full effect of the drug with people that make you feel loved, with music that makes you want to excercise and with an appropriate recovery period to deal with the come down.

Hopefully a single strong experience will set a user up to remember what love and connectivity feels like for the rest of their life.

I would stick to mushrooms or lsd for microdosing. MDMA will likely cause some damage when taken that often. It's far more useful for PTSD when taken in a single dose infrequently, in the right set/setting.
