Hello everyone,

New to the forum and to DMT extraction, happy to share the journey here!

I've got my hands on Ronsonol Lighter Fluid.
Found different sources that claims you can/cannot use it as solvant.
Did an extraction test, on a small plate, almost filled up the whole plate.

After 30 minutes outdoor (35 degres celsius, humid weather) and in front of the fan, almost everything is evaporated except a very slim watermark on the plate that you can see with the right angle.

Could you guys advice on whether I should proceed with the extract with that solvant?

Thanks a lot!

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

Hi lpdmt and welcome,

As your purity test just revealed, there are impurities present in your Ronsonal.
(although this might be pretty reasonable given you filled the plate up)

You can get away with some impurities, particularly if you are going to use this solvent for Re-X, but bear in mind, even when doing Re-X you will need to dry the crystals which means there will be a small amount of this 'watermark' on your final product.

Hey mate! thanks for the quick answer!

I'm planning the most simple extraction to start aka "lazyman tek", with caustic soda and this solvant.
Will go ahead and check the results on the first batch.

Thanks again!

Lazyman tek uses "Full Evaporation", so this means you will get *all* of the impurities into your final product. If this bothers you, then a simple mod to this would be to not go 'full', just wait until the solvent starts to go milky, then seal it up and place into the freezer overnight, then you can pour off carefully and dry your crystals, to get a purer final product.
