Babies as in grown from seeds? Looks good for three years. It'll be nice to see how soon they bloom (in keeping with the topic!) I've got a load of fruits poking out of my specimens at the moment - photo's soon to be added on a thread nearby - so I should pull my (green) finger out and get on with planting them seeds. “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work." ― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli

They came from the seeds of the plants that are currently in bloom. I germinated them about 3 years ago - actually a little over 3 years. I had two other that were twice the size, but i gave them to my parents as a gift. From what I hear, they are doing well. It'll probably be a few years before the "babies" start blooming, but when they do, they will be posted. Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Anyone into sharing pollen? Q-tips can be fluffed and stuffed with pollen and mailed pretty easily. I love the rose quartz hybrids, but have you noticed how they all bloom differently? Mine are about to start blooming here in a bit as well. I have this dream that if I keep putting good pollen on those flowers that do well for me here that I will eventually have more flowering specimens as I am using the flowering specimens in my yard to create new flowering specimens. We shall see how that pans out in the coming years I hope. When I graft you graft we graft

I like that species of Gymno. Heres my current. No photo of the flower fully open because she promptly got fertilized by either her son or her nephew. I'm in a sort of rural area, thats how we roll. Elrik attached the following image(s): 200_8221.jpg (66kb) downloaded 60 time(s).
