I personally feel when you eat meat that is churned out and produced in such a horrific way and in such appalling conditions not only are you absorbing harmful hormones that are pumped into the animals but also you are putting a creature into your body that suffered tremendously. I don't think that its really healthy for your body to grow and nourish it self from something that suffered. Just my personal view, hence why i don't eat anything that i can make friends with.
...

I don't eat eggs either as i used to work in an animal sanctuary and one of my main jobs in the morning was to chop the baby boy chicks up, it really was really difficult for me to do, they were donated from the egg farmers who just kill all the baby boys as they aren't useful as they don't lay eggs.

You wouldnt make friends with a plant Sad Crying or very sad sad

and that is horrible. reinforces why i dont eat meat

Oh on a related note I try to make sure I incorporate foods to stimulate seretonin production (those that increase trytophan levels), as I take MDMA fairly regularly. Wholegrains, bananas and eggs =)

Nope didnt mean what I said in that way, I have a really deep connection with plants, as well as animals. I choose to be veggie as it causes far less harm and suffering... Animals are my friends and plants are my allies...

@ benzyme, i have never tried this, is it hot? i have read we should only eat cayenne, something about there makeup, but i am no professor professional.

@ Aegle, yeah i understand Smile plants have such a pure giving nature, i was just giving you shit Smile

@kaleidoscope, i dont believe its the tryptophan itself, i think its the seretonin in the end, because that is what makes you dreams better, i think its just the fact that its a natural precusor for it.
and great song, even greater artists Smile your name works perfectly shortened too because of you picture right below it which is "The girl" ... idk its perfect

love.

I have not knowingly consumed animal flesh in 14 years, and its one of the most satisfactory decisions I have ever made in my life.

serotonin is only half the equation. dopamine is also depleted
milk is a more complete remedy. has both tryptophan and tyrosine.

serotonin has little, if anything, to do with dreaming. it's more of a mood-enhancer and precursor to melatonin, the circadian clock regulator.

i took 500mg tryptophan last night, and didn't have any vivid dreams.

acetylcholine and glycine are the responsible parties in REM sleep.
if you want really lucid dreams, take DMAE.

Do you have any experience with DMAE?

as a matter of fact, I do. experimented with it extensively from '97-99. worked well to clear the memory fog caused by daily cannabis use. used Twinlab caps and liquid (DMAE H3 with PABA)
