Easy answer -

Itself and everything that is beheld within
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

I think consciousness isn't a thing, it's the thing we do. Play isn't made of toys, happiness isn't made of cake, it's something you can do or be. It's what brains DO.

I have come to view the physical body as a tool of expression for consciousness. Like a computer is a tool of expression for electricity.

That's a very interesting analogy which resonates with my experiences as well

I feel like "IT's" the source and basis of the infinite multiverse/reality, and nervous systems are just one of the ways in which it gets amplified/focused/expressed/released more intensely. The universe seems much more like an incredible living idea than an incredible random accident or unaware machine to me. On a bigger scale..."it" is like an unimaginably complex non-local multiversal fractal being of some sort. But really, all these descriptions are just arbitrary words.

Going with the electricity analogy, physical matter would then be like metal - electricity is still there flowing in it, but appearing to us as if it goes on under the surface, not fully released. Nervous systems, and probably countless other systems that focus it more acutely, are then like the light bulbs and lightning bolts.

Sounds crazy, of course. But then again hyperspace/reality is unfathomably bizarre.

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I can dig the possibilty. It could also be like the DMT nexus is the emergent function of electricity, through a server running on electricity. This is the same way that consciousness may seem to be (from a material point of view) a function of a somewhat similar system. Instead of hosting websites we have environment and self analysis V6.2 aka (named by the system itself, for itself) consciousness ?

Maybe conciousness comes from black holes and is local to galaxies after a black hole is formed.
The black hole could be the conduit for conciousness emanating from the 'source' giving the galaxy potential for awareness.
The 'source' as a membrane that is between each universe peppered with wormholes and black holes. Like frogspawn.
We need a stoned emoticon..

My description of consciousness is:
A collaboration of neurological impulses (likely with a few other things going on in nervous system that science may not be aware of yet), which is presented in a moment-to-moment running dialog with the body.

Spirituality for me is when I experience extra rich states of consciousness.

DMT is one of the tools I can reliably use to elicit such spiritual experiences.

Well said, my thoughts also.

Consciousness has to do something with our bodies/brains (this is undeniable), but I don't think its confined within brain. Brain might be a physical mediator of it, or something, since the consciousness doesn't appear to be physical/material at all.
