It's one of my paintings from almost 20 years ago. I've thought about changing it to something more current but this one is very me, and reduces to a small size nicely.

You can see that it's got some fractal influence. And I've seen these hook-things on various substances; it has a very particular logarithmic curve to it that I've tried to capture here. It's all about concrecence, about the myriad converging into the one. It means many things to me, but applies to my life and personality in a very broad way. My art is all abstract, but at the same time is usually very specific like this... Concrete abstractions. I have more stuff posted in the Guyomech gallery at www.dmt-nexus.me/art

Also, this isn't the first avatar thread, but since many members have changed theirs in the past year, might as well start a new one. Here is the last thread on the subject, which is a few pages long:

after I successfully squeegeed my 3rd eye with 3 solid hits I thought it would be an appropriate avatar. This is the 2nd incarnation of it, last time it was like this

Mickey in Utero. Just because.

I don't know who the artist is, but I dig it. It's as good a virtual representation of me as I could find floating around on the internet, in 15 minutes of searching, 4 years ago.

There have been a number of these threads over the years, BTW. Someone with more time and inclination might want to search them out and combine them all.

My current avatar is a of a little boy who had been deaf from birth. The picture was taken when he had an early hearing aid tested on him and captures the look of wonder and surprise. I dont know how accurate that story is, but it appeals to me.

way too many to comment on but I feel alittle bit closer to this forum nowBig grin

I did some searching for other threads like this but apparently I'm not a good searcher because I didn't find anything. Ill keep trying and see to get them merged.
