Without googling, what are these things and what do they do: trenbolone, anavar, winstrol, dianabol?

Man, that's easy!

Trenbolone is a triangle shaped chocolate, anavar is something you use on internet forums, winstrol are a kind of cigar, and dianabol is a cocktail drink!

hehe, talk about thread going bad

In fairness he said: "Hello guys iam opening this thread not because im interested in doing this stuff per se but to get some educated opinions on how manipulating ones hormones can change your being."

probably just wanted to know if there is succesful methods out there. Surely there is a sea of neverending bad, but where there is bad. there can be good, like psychedelics. And its not our place to judge his intrest, dont think anybody would wanna have some anti psychedelics nutjob at home ranting about how you should live.

Just my 5 cents

The movie "Bigger Stringer Faster" is a really good place to look for info on this. It doesn't say one way or the other if it's for or against steroids, but provides a really balanced view. It seems to me, after watching it, that steroids have been under a similar smear campaign as other drugs. They aren't as bad as people say, but I still don't have any interest in taking them.

Hormones are not bad. Look at the way testosterone has been vilified as this horrible hormone causing agression and and male dominance etc. There has been a lot of crappy stuff put out about testosterone. In reality so many men are deficient in testoserone and that is not a good thing..and people being told it is healthy to avoid cholesterol does nothing but make the situation worse.

..and one of the real problems is that people are unable these days to hold the healthy levels of hormones where they should be..and diet is a factor here..they break down rapidly in the bodies of many people into other dangerous estrogens etc becasue they dont have the proper inhibators etc in the diet.

This is why psychedelics and hormones are not the same thing and should not be discussed as if they are the same. Smoking some DMT is not going to pose the same biological situation as ingesting bioidentical hormones.

Yes I do think that many people are hormonally dificient..but I also think that just taking synthetic hormones should not be the first thing that people do. Fix your diet first and learn everything you can about the way hormones work and metabolize in the body..

There are herbs and animal products people can use to get their levels up, like pine pollen and deer antler. I will go that route at some point. Im not against it. I am just saying that people should be aware of what happens when you just pump yourself full of hormones and dont take any other measures to deal with the sitation. That can lead to cancer and this is understood by science.

It's a complex topic.
Long live the unwoke.

As regards the knowledge of things like side effects and testosterone rebound, there are many resources on the web where people with far more knowledge than anyone in this thread including myself have demonstrated the ability to nullify the supposed deletrious side effects of a steroid cycle (i.e. post cycle therapy).

Can you or someone considerably more knowledgable chime in and educate a little bit about how that may work or point out a method which would nullify deletrious side effects of steroids used? I would use that information to find it more and will learn more about it. Maybe then i can say something meaningful if these things are useful or not.

I'm not so knowledgable in the subject. But it does interest me greatly to learn as much as possible about the subject. It is such an appealing business. And highly controversial right now. Personally i don't want to form an opinion either positive or negative about the use of steroids, besides the "cheating" factor within the sportsman laws regarding performance enhancers. But outside that realm i understand that it is appealing and could possibly benefit myself and humanity in a great way if used responsibly. But.. it can ONLY benefit us if it is actually SAFE and HEALTHY. And just to be honest here. At the current time it is not yet proven to be either of those..

I did try some anabolic steroids like 15 years ago. The pink pills. Not big doses but within a week I started to become much more emotionally unbalanced. Very aggressive. I flushed the rest down the toilet.

And I've seen a lot of guy's start to use steroids but after a while they're not happy and they want more. More muscle and never happy with themselves. And some get very depressed.

And I personally know a guy that used to do a lot of coke. Then he started to use steroids and one day he lost his temper and killed his on father with his bare hands. Beat him to the ground and then jumped on his head. First when I met the guy he was sober and quite a chilled person actually.

I'm very skinny but NO WAY I'll ever touch that stuff ever again. Some people might handle this stuff but I think it's very rare. A lot of people think they do but are super emotional and easily hurt. Big ego's. Can't take it when people talk about the negative side of steroids.

Thanks for your honesty, Tripper!

One thing that i know is that steroids are not needed in order for anyone who's in good health to build themselves up or get lean and ripped. It all comes down to understanding how to train intensely and what foods to eat, and when. It's about making intelligent descisions in a progressive manner.

If people are taking steroids because they don't wanna do it the honest challenging way, then they will never be truly happy because they never gave chance for their own natural abilities to flourish. There will always be this nagging 'i'm a quitter and loser' thought in the background. Oh, on the outside they may look good, but on the inside hides someone who never bothered with testing his own innate abilities, and that is not a content person.

This leads me to ask, WHY?

Why does anyone feel the need to do this, after knowing the above? I think you can blame bad role models in fitness magazines which are pushing the muscled look as 'winning'. I think you can also blame the media for using musclemen in movies who always seem to win, etc. Most that fall for this are people with a low self esteem who feel unhappy with themselves on the inside, and whilst healthy training may be of help, taking steroids is falling into another trap-not a way to self empowerment.

Think about it folks, God gave you a body, so be thankful of it and respect it. It is the vessel of your spirit. Anyone who abuses it is insulting themselves, and will only hate themselves on the inside. Don't fall into the trap that building muscle is key to 'self betterment', it's just an activity that makes you stronger at the price of having to workout hard and eat lots of protein and carbs. It may help you to feel empowered and stuff, but you can better yourself in more nourishing ways as well. Others will say that running is healthier because you need less protein and develop your cv system. Would you bother working out if the mirror never existed?

If you wanna look cool, why not buy cool clothes. Women really are not interested in how big a mans biceps and chest are, as long as you're reasonably lean and fit, you are good enough for your spirit to express itself in this life. Don't become a prisoner of the musclehead media fed by mister weider and co. Use your brains, they are just businessmen!

Personally, i think 'self improvement', is highly questionable if it becomes something which then turns into an obsession at the cost of other 'life areas'. Taking steroids is even worse! But each to their own folly!

Reading over this thread people seem to be on a crusade and completely missing what was asked.

I have taken lose dose IM steroids before and 100% didn't receive any stated side effects, there is a vast difference between taking low dose to boost recovery than what you see with body builders. Why christian is pushing it in that direction seems odd to me.

I also do Bjj and know what SHroomtroll means and it appears to me he doesn't want to be a mussel bound roid head but to simply keep up with training in something he loves as age takes it away. Recovery of the body gets a lot slower with age.

Steroids aren't all bad but as with anything people will push and abuse so of course serious side effects will follow. Doesn't mean some can't do them safely.

Hi Ewok!

I wasn't specifically talking about musclebound people. I just don't think anyone who's healthy should need to use them. If the body takes longer to recover as you age, you should perhaps honour it, and listen to it?

Also, there are martial artists who are shit hot well into their late years, and they never took any drugs. Sometimes i think people don't really give their own abilities a proper chance, with easy alternatives to turn to- especially when 'everyone else does it'..etc,erc.

However,Each to their own, it's THEIR life experience. Big grin

Each to their own.

Your posts made a lot of references to "musselmen" the look etc so forgive me for taking it that way.

But yes each to their own.

Yes, Ewok!

It's up to each of us to decide how far we take things in life i guess. Personally, i think that if someone's martial arts skills have slowed down, then maybe it's their body saying ok, time for a change. I don't think it's always best to keep pushing the same thing, i think there's a time for everything in life, and change adds spice to life.

I think the key to growth in life, is to know when when it's time to change, and try growing another branch, like a tree does. It's certainly better than stagnating and being at odds with the truth of nature's wisdom i suppose? Smile

Quote:

Some claim that Li Ching-Yuen was born in 1677 in Qi Jiang Xian, Szechuan province.[citation needed] By his own account, he was born in 1736.[citation needed] However, in a 1930 New York Times article, Professor Wu Chung-chieh of the University of Chengdu discovered Imperial Chinese government records from 1827, congratulating one Li Ching-Yuen on his 150th birthday,[1] and further documents later congratulating him on his 200th birthday in 1877. In 1928, a New York Times correspondent wrote that many of the old men in Li's neighborhood asserted that their grandfathers knew him when they were boys, and that he at that time was a grown man.[2]He began gathering herbs in the mountain ranges at the age of ten, and also began learning of longevity methods, surviving on a diet of herbs and rice wine. He lived this way for the first 40 years of his life. In 1749, when he was 71 years old, he moved to Kai Xian to join the Chinese army as a teacher of the martial arts and as a tactical advisor.

One of his disciples, the Taijiquan Master Da Liu told of Master Li's story: at 130 years old Master Li encountered an older hermit, over 500 years old, in the mountains who taught him Baguazhang and a set of Qigong with breathing instructions, movements training coordinated with specific sounds, and dietary recommendations. Da Liu reports that his master said that his longevity "is due to the fact that I performed the exercises every day - regularly, correctly, and with sincerity - for 120 years."[3] Returning home, he died a year later, some say of natural causes; others claim that he told friends that "I have done all I have to do in this world. I will now go home." After Li's death, General Yang Sen investigated the truth about his claimed background and age and wrote a report about his findings that was later published.

He worked as a herbalist, selling lingzhi, goji berry, wild ginseng, he shou wu and gotu kola along with other Chinese herbs.[4] Li had also supposedly produced over 200 descendants during his life span, surviving 23 wives.[5][6]

Thank god he never got into steroids!Big grin

Ironically the records state he was a good 60 years older than he said he was. He literally forgot the entire lifespan of an average man.

1+ on the movie Bigger stronger faster, its really interesting and quite funny actually.

They really show both sides o the coin so to speak and all the horrible nightmare examples are there.

But they also show some people that really benefited from the stuff and the crazy laws around it.

Most of all they take it with a humorous tone so there is quite a few laughs in it since some of these roid heads are really funny but also very sad people.

I've probably done about 6 cycles. I haven't done any in like 6 years though. I've done it all. Equipoise, D-bol, Anavar, Trenbolone, Deca, Winstrol, Test Prop, Test Enthanate, Test Cyp, Sustanon, DNP, Arimidex, Clomid, Nolvadex, HCG.

Although I did get good results, I wish I had never done it. I was just young and into lifting and I thought at the time it was a good idea. I've had all my blood work done recently and everything is fine, but I still would prefer to have not done it.

Unless you are going to be a pro bodybuilder or for some reason you have low test levels, there is no reason to do it.

Just and FYI...out of all the stuff I listed above....NOTHING even comes close to Trenbolone....that stuff is the king of all anabolic steroids. UNREAL strength gains and cuts you up big time....in a very short period of time. You have to inject it at a minimum of every other day though, so it is a pain in the ass. During one cycle I was doing it every day.

Bottom line though....don't do steroids unless medically needed.
