As a half measure, I tried an alternate method that is similar to putting the spice on top of the ceramic filter. I've only been taking very small doses to enhance cannabis lately. It's been a long time since I've done even a moderately large dose. I had to take a break for a year or so. I'm not going for a dmt trip. Just making cannabis a bit trippy. I had some cannabis in the gvg, a nice indica dominant strain, that my friend calls mind eraser. We don't really know what the strain is, but it is an apt name for it.
Anyway, I had some brown gunk left over from a re-x, the consistency of clay. I took a small piece of it, about the size of half a b.b. and wiped it on the bottom of the filter. Quick, complete vaporization was achieved with a torch lighter. I backed the flame off a bit and kept drawing to vaporizer some cannabis. I held my breath and hit it again and got a hit of what tasted more like cannabis, but still had a hint of vaporized dmt. Very flowery. No burning. Some of it must have dripped onto the cannabis. I got little more than I bargained for. A nice, mild tryptamine rush with creeping and crawling CEv's. Not too much light in them. A little dim, but still really nice.
Afterwards, I lifter the filter out and there was a tiny discolored spot. The spot disappeared after 2 more hits of cannabis.
I'm still not ready to put spice on the top of the filter. The gvg liquid pad and copper disc work perfectly for me. I followed Gibran2's instructions and I've never even had the smallest of drips. For people who can't get the coper disc right, this might work, but I have a feeling it will eventually effect the efficiency of the filter and lead to bad tastes. At least we now know that wiping clay like goo on the bottom of the filter works to some degree, as long as there is something for it to drip on to.
