I would really like to do a survey of the population of all people who have tried DMT vs changa/aya and see what percent find DMT as spiritually meaningful. But I'm afraid that it would be skewed if I just put it up on this site, since this is the dmt-nexus, not ayahuasca.com or "dmt-and-ayahuasca.com". Funny how people self-segregate. If you go over to ayahuasca.com and talk about DMT at all, they might even ban you. I got warned for mentioning it. LOL WTF, ignorance is bliss. 'Ayahuasca contains DMT', reply: 'La, la, la, not listening, say that again and we'll ban you.' I used to be a mod on the aya forum. The place degenerated into a haven for zealotry and lots of ego. I went there excited about changa posting about it... I might as well have walked into a church and took a shit. With a few days old friends fom there had been publicly writing articles to renounce anything I had to say about changa publicly. Lost friends over it. What it boils down too is politics. They hope to get ayahuasca legally recognized as a church sacrament and to do that they have to keep dmt out of the public attention. Smoked dmt cannot be to them equated with ayahuasca and neither can extractions. Though a tea is a chemical extraction... Jesus... I fought against them so much they finally dropped their all out attack on my site. Man it was sad, such bullying. One guy threatened to expose who I really am to the public if I didn't take down my site or edit it to his liking! They tried to BLACKMAIL ME! I've no love for the aya forum. The biggest issue hey had was that I called changa the evolution of ayahuasca ( technologically speaking) and did he worst thing they could imagine, combine smoked extracts with caapi! It ruined their whole political strategy! Smoked dmt cannot be to them equated with ayahuasca and neither can extractions. That's what I figured. It's a silly thing, but I can't blame them because that strategy has actually had some success. I could see why they would want to try to use the same strategy to succeed more. However, it seems the most likely times that religious use arguments work in America is when the argument is presented by non Americans, or Native Americans. If a white guy says he uses ayahuasca as medicine, he's a deviant and a freak, but if a native uses ayahuasca, it's a rich cultural heritage that should not be denied...... generalizing big time of course. A lot of times, not even natives enjoy the right to their spiritual practice ie: peyote in America. And, for some reason, the state also seems to be more likely to allow things that are plants, and not extract. Marijuana is a big exception of course. Maybe it's because the mere dried leaf is so potent. Sorry about your bad experiences at the ayahuasca board.

The political strategy to me is assanign we need people to realize that dmt need not be schedualed as well. Wiki • Attitude • FAQThe Nexian • Nexus Research • The OHTIn New York, we wrote the legal number on our arms in marker...To call a lawyer if we were arrested. In Istanbul, People wrote their blood types on their arms. I hear in Egypt, They just write Their names. גם זה יעבור

I agree, that plant only strategy is foolish, but it has only worked because those in charge are foolish enough to.... sort of accept certain things, and criminalize others with a ridiculously heavy hand, even though both acts are the same in essence. The ayahuasca folks are just holding out hope that their plant medicine strategy will gain even further recognition, which I don't think it will. I'm just talking about their theory here, their actions towards you are totally unacceptable. I agree people need to realize dmt should not be scheduled.
