I had the same idea 1ce. Why not? what do you think about 12/13 soxh's cycles with acetic acid acq (1 N) ?

I think it's easier to dump the bark out of a soxhlet rather than a RBF. I used to reflux a citric acid solution with finely powderized bark for 24hrs. I'm going to follow benzymes suggestion and just sonicate it in a 1 liter beaker.
