My input here is from a natural (that is, mother nature) perspective. I have found that with psychedelics, the value of a skill and how it is prized by the organism will often mandate its development. In other words, use it or lose it. If having vivid scenarios play out in your head is important to you while on a particular substance, then you will eventually develop that skill and take it to its fullest potential. This isn't to say that certain organisms (in this case humans) do not have natural talent for it. Far from it. I have several friends who have used several different types of hallucinogens. So let's call value the "V" variable. If V is the same for two of my friends, they will develop hallucinogenic "skills" at a differing rate because of that natural, raw talent. However, I have also noticed that there is a soft cap on potential. There's only so far you can go with it before the skill in question is fully developed.

I'm sure that was confusing as all get out. It's difficult to explain, but those are my observations. Please note that all of this is pure speculation. It's not like we can actually do a legit study on it. At least, not for the time being.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I share your experiences. Not if I smoke it in a joint but if I rip a big cone and hold it in as if smoking DMT and trying to breakthrough I have experiences using weed and meditating techniques close to that of a sub breakthrough.

I believe this due to the state of mind it puts you in.

Peace and love my friend play around with it and try meditating in this state you will have something interesting. MJ is a fantastic tool to help meditating states.

Peace

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

My trips are incredibly vivid. No one else I've spoken to seems to have the same magnitude of vividness.

Here is one of my MJ trips that was stronger and more vivid than when I did acid and mushrooms.

Yeah that seems rather intense. I mean, I've had some deeply introspective moments while in the middle of a ganja only experience. Not always a major alteration of my vision but an ultimate change in head space, for sure. Had many deep experiences on edibles especially...

I'm not a regular smoker but it often happens to me too when I smoke, but only if I'm in a quiet and dark setting.
They seem also to become more and more vivid from time to time.
The last time they were very cartoon-like.
And I'm also unable to control them, or at least it's very hard and I can do it only on a small degree.

I also remember one year ago, while on hash, I saw arabic pattern. After a few days I read that it was believed that arabic art has been influenced by hashish.

Yeah, dude. I had most vivid CEV's on cannabis when I just started smoking.

One time I was this huge metallic net, traveling through the universe,
with waves of ice passing through me.

Felt as real as it gets. On par with Psilohuasca/Salvia-level intensity.
No matter what you've done, you deserve respect. Even if you make mistakes, you're lovable.
And it doesn’t matter - your looks, skills, age, your size, or anything.

You’re worthwhile. No one can ever take that away from you.

I get CEV's sober when I meditate or when tired Smile

When smoking it can get very intense.

I get distortions in my peripheral vision and sometimes get faint visuals when I close my eyes, especially when I'm tired and I've been smoking. This has only been recently though.

Back when I first started smoking, I used to get crazy visuals, like someone had put a layer of stained glass between me and the rest of the world, and I'd watch geometric mandalas go spiraling around my field of vision.

It doesn't seem to happen anymore. I'm not a heavy smoker by any stretch of the imagination, so my tolerance has never really gotten that high. I wonder if it's an age thing (do teenagers get more psychedelic highs than adults?)

Whenever I got these visuals (which would continue when I closed my eyes into CEV), it was usually accompanied by a very uncomfortable feeling. Not paranoia in the 'oh God, I'm going to go get arrested' but in a more existential way, like feeling that I was very far 'out there' or some place I wasn't supposed to be.

I made a pretty thorough catalog of all the different visuals I get from weed in this post.

Quote:
Type 1
These are like having a glass plate put in front of my eyes that images seem to be projected on. They are often 2-D, circular or otherwise symmetrical and consist of many different colors and can be very detailed, all though focusing on individual details can be tough. They don't exist in 'real space,' but rather, are plastered across my field of vision. I have gotten these twice when I was very high. One time it was a stylized sun and moon, the other instance was rainbow fish swimming out of my central field of vision.

Things tend to look like cartoons.
Disturbingly, The Simpsons family frequently make appearances in my C.E.V.s and sometimes these. I've never heard of anyone seeing The Simpsons while stoned.

Examples:
- A mandala of swimming fish radiating out from my point of focus.
- A sun and moon orbiting each other, throwing off cartoon flames.
- A waterfall comprised entirely of the residents of Springfield.
- A tabletop becoming a rainbow accretion disk, orbiting a central black hole.

Type 2
This seems to be the closest to a 'classic' LSD or mushroom hallucination. I will look at patterns and they will seem to move or shift. I looked at a painted wall and seemed to see rainbow fish (again) swimming in a line. A girls blue shirt suddenly took on depth and it looked as though I was seeing another world full of blue wind. The carpet in a hall way will rush past like water.

Examples:
- The girls sweater I mentioned earlier
- The fish swimming in the wall
- Entire films playing out looking at a stucco ceiling
- Carpet flowing

Type 3
These involve my brain seeming to process visual information. If you think about an optical illusion (such as the classic vase/face illusion, it's like that. One moment you see a vase, the next moment, you see two faces. Nothing has actually changed, your brain is just interpreting things differently.
I can look at an ordinary thing and see it as something totally strange.
Often time, distances and perspectives will get distorted (often expanded): ordinary sized things look like they are actually massive things that I am looking at from a long way away. The effect is that the visual information is the same, but it looks subjectively 'smaller.'
Also, seemingly random things will become 'highlighted' and stand out to me more.

Examples:
- The stars arranging themselves into patterns. (I saw a monster teddy bear).
- My keyboard screen looking massive, and very far away.
- My curtains look like cliffs, or alternatively, frogs. Or frogs the size of cliffs.
- My desk looked miles long, like a landscape.
- A wadded up shirt turned into a skull.
- The vents on a lamp looked like a smiling face, and then an airship coming into land.
- A fire turned into a pair of crabs, a cave with a man in it, and many others.
- The leaves on a tree looked like a pattern of soldiers marching.

And on one memorable occasion:

- I was transported completely to another world. I had no idea where I was. The leaves in the forest turned into geometric dinosaurs and benches. Distances and perspectives were all screwed up.

Blessings
