My favorite style of meditation is meditating while doing something conducive to meditating - like walking in the forest. Maybe a little Zen inspired....
I start with an intention sometimes - clear my head or emotions, or maybe I want to understand something or I want some guidance ect.... Maybe its just to relax or to be still for a while. Once I think about that I just go walk around - in the city works if it isnt too busy, but my favorite is in the woods (I am lucky enough to live next to lots of woods and beach). I find the monotony of walking turns into a trance state and this can unfold in any number of ways depending on the intention you set before hand. This can be especially powerful if you go on a huge hike or backpacking trip and can be done sober or with psychedelics.
I also like to do similar things with other repetitive tasks - cleaning, drumming or playing other music once you get stuck in a continuous groove, crafting, making art ect.....
