I have no clue what caused the green goopy gel to precipitate out of my heptane, when I dried my crystals it left behind a crystal covered chunk.

I test vaped 7mg of this and was totally incompacitated for several minutes. I've never really had this happen to me before and thought of it as a curiosity.

I'm half tempted to think that perhaps heat may have caused some of my dmt to deteriorate, but it certainly is potent enough.

All of my solvents arrive in plastic/glass bottles and the msds never mentioned any additives.

I do some reactions where a non polar eluent and metal contamination would be extremely unforgivable.

I apologize I was a bit flustered with something else going on and took it out on you. I am truely sorry for being a jerk.

I don't think by any means it's a wonder dmt, but it is an unexpected curiosity that had a good result. Probably due to it's viscocity being able to contain more alkaloid, thus being a more dense, potent vape.

I've retraced my steps and while I obviously can't rule out contamination (it could be the bark for all I know) I have no reason to believe it is hazardous to my health.

I'll say it again just to be sure: after the dish was dry, NOTHING was green! I wish I had before and after pictures; if it happens in the future I'll be sure to include them.

To me a green coloration, until identified, should be assumed that it is hazardous when you consider the fact that with zero adulterants the purest dmt crystals are white to clear. Adding to the fact that this is about as uncommon of an occurence imo as dmt from lithium. Just add vinegar!

I'm feeling trolled to be honest

let's toy with an idea here:

Let's imagine that this thin layer of extremely DMT saturated solvent is swirling around in a freezer as cold ass air blows over it. Some of this DMT forms micro crystals that have not yet fell to the crystal layer at the bottom. They swirl into each other and pool up like many other solids do in liquid.

So when I take it out, I observe the discoloration of an extremely saturated solvent solution crapping out crystals surrounded by a MIXTURE of solid crystals and solvent solution.

The neon florescent color merely being the refraction of my bright overhead light being shot around a small space.

Then suddenly, the solvent is poured off and the gravity of these crystals doesn't overcome the massive field of DMT crystals as easilly as the clear, less saturated solvent does. As this evaporates it leaves behind a very dense second layer of DMT over some of the DMT layer below it giving a chunky quality to it.

This very dense, not so fluffy pile of DMT is not quite able to let as much light pass through it due to the interruption of its natural precipitation and takes on a duller color. This also explains why it's so potent, it's density.

But that's just my two cents, what do I know right? I'm just some crazy that smoalks crystals.

Yeah, probably a bit of both tbh, it's been a pretty weak day.. but at least I got the weekend to make up for it!

I dunno, I thought the phenomena was rather interesting and wanted to share 9t. And then.. I'm bombarded with people using hardware store solvents and mason jars and milk jugs griping to me about contaminants when my chemicals come from Sigma Aldrich and I use well maintained labroratory equipment. I ,ean really guys?

I really do appriciate your cause for concern and safety, it's the right thing to do after all. But I *did* make it clear that I wasn't posting because I wanted help and adamantly stating that I had absolutely zero concerns about it should be enough.

The only poster in this thread I feel got treated unfairly would be spiritofspice. He was genuinely trying to be helpful and took time out of his day to do som got treated rather disrespectfully by myself.

I shouldn't of done that for a number of reasons, one of which is because I forgot that while posting here, I not just represent myself, but also this community. And that's not how we treat eachother, especially mew members.
