And I think I'll mimic your potting technique. Mine are still recovering from the rain incident.

I'm very moved that you think my rescue peyote's are gorgeous, I poured a great deal of love into them as they have endured quite an intense amount of hardship and rough times recently so they truly do deserve a peaceful and safe environment.
The potting technique for the peyote's; firstly each soil type was carefully sieved and then mixed together well, 20% consisted of potting soil the other 60% consisted of Umgeni river sand (qaurtz river sand) and 20% Laterite. An inch or so of large stones were placed at the bottom of each pot, then 3/4 of an inch of 3-5mm stones that were separated from the umgeni river sand on sieving was added to assist with their drainage of water.
Good drainage is critical to healthy growth and allows more frequent watering, if the drainage is not adequate root rot will occur. After watering the soil it should return to complete dryness in no more than 2 days.
All the peyote's are kept inside next to the windowsill so that that are sheltered from harsh weather elements, slugs and caterpillars this way they also receive the perfect amount of light and ventilation. Thank you for the love its greatly appreciated and I wish you the best of luck with your little chap I hope that his recovery is swift and effortless.
Much Peace and Respect
