Rising Spirit: most excellent, all of it.

Question #1: once on a milligram acid trip I filled a sketchbook with notes. My favorite of the night: God is Self in its wholeness

#2: Consciousness? We don't even really have a concrete definition for that, and the closer you look, the more slippery it gets. But it seems that, with carbon based life, a complex enough brain allows for some kind of self awareness. During powerful psychedelic experiences it can feel as if all the mind and matter and energy in the universe are joined together into some kind of universal consciousness. But I have no concrete scientific proposal for how this universal connectivity works.

#3: Goals? It could be that the whole thing started out with none, and any sense of goal or purpose is our own confection. But that's fine, it gives us something to do. I think that many of you would agree that it's a good goal to make the most of this experience; to live to its fullest, to pursue goals that feel meaningful, to love, to experience change and loss and growth. And then, collectively, we have the Great Work, where we endeavor together to overcome all barriers, join together, and use our vast total perspective to learn as much truth as we can. We seem to be made for this.

So what do we do once we learn the truth? Well, first and foremost we come back down into our daily human lives, which are incredibly grounding. And here we try to apply those slippery, elusive lessons we may have brought back from an experience of glimpsing those Higher Truths. Mostly we still struggle like anyone else. But I think that many of us agree that a transcendental experience can freshen the outlook, provide perspective on human behavior that makes it easier to deal with fellow humans; stuff like that. But none of these upgrades come easily, and all require daily work, months or years of integration. Seeing a concise description of the Great Truths carved into marble would mean very little, though- I believe these truths can not be told, only experienced.

Many of us do not label ourselves with a specific religion, but lots of us consider ourselves to be "spiritual" in a way... What are your viewpoints on this? I would love to hear some new perspectives! Big grin

1. Who, or what, is "God"
2. What is life/consciousness?
3. Do we have some sort of "goal" here?
4. What is this higher power that we so often encounter on DMT trips?
5. Is it our job/right to even ask these questions?

6... What happens IF/when we find out?

Answer any that appeal to your intellect!
Looking forward to reading your responses Smile

1. energy can never be created nor destroyed , its just converted from one form to another , thus everything in the universe is energy , God is the energetic , from where all this energy is coming from , afterall we cannot expect the sunshine to be present without the sun

2. life/conciousness is awareness , awareness of energy and everything thats going on around us

3. the goal is to be aware and to enjoy awareness

4. the higher power encountered on dmt trips is coming from the same place all power is coming from

5. the Lord only knows

6. the Lord only knows
illusions !, there are no illusions
there is only that which is the truth

This is actually a subject that is close to my heart because i love talking about my beliefs. This is my take on the subject.
1. Who/what is God.
-God to me is the programmer of the universe. But he is also the universe. I think this because i belive that the easiest thing to control is yourself. and if you want to be all knowing and all seeing it would help if everything was just a extinsion of you.
2. What is life/consciousness?
-general consciousness as we know it is just the processing of one current state of your existance. It is the subcounciouse acceptance that you exist in one finite place in the universe. while true consciousness is truly knowing all the secrets and workings of this universe.
3. Do we have some sort of goal here?
-The goal is to understand and transend to a higher state of being by builind a personal connection to god. This process is very diffrent for everyone and it is the reson that we have so many diffrent religiouns. There is more than one path to the top of a mountain and the goal of existing is to blaze yours.
4. What is the higher power that we so often encounter on DMT trips?
-I myself have never been on an DMT trip but as wierd as it sound i belive that we share information with these spirits as i will call them. What they are to me are higher beings, people who have shed their earthly motive and have achived a state of higher being. They are either here to spread this information to you or guide you back to your path when you are lost.
5. Is it our job to even ask these questions?
-yes, this is what we are here for. our primary reson for existing is to find the heart of god.
6. What happens when we find out?
-You achive higher being Smile . unfortunantly for most this will not happen during this state of existance because they cannot let go of their hidden motives. The state that it usually occurs is when your soul is between the current state and the state in which you are transferring. But really the only way to know if you have achived higher being is to become a higher being.

But yea, thats my two cents about it.

I mise'll put my 2 cents in answering these.

1. Who, or what, is "God"

EVERYTHING

2. What is life/consciousness?

Life/Consciousness is all under the same umbrella to me. This is all one big perception divided into an infinite number of perceptions for the joy of it. Life/Consciousness flows through EVERYTHING and IS EVERYTHING. A form of ultimate awareness that permeates every facet of existence.

3. Do we have some sort of "goal" here?

To live, to help, to love, TO BE.

4. What is this higher power that we so often encounter on DMT trips?

My view is that various psychedelics/entheos all show different facets of that one. Different facets of the same jewel. DMT though imo, due to it's psychodymanic properties with a human nervous system allow for a front row seat in comparison to other psychedelics (when a substantial dose is administered). DMT allows you to briefly experience the Atman/Brahman symbiosis that is life at its most fundamental level.

5. Is it our job/right to even ask these questions?

Of course.

6... What happens IF/when we find out?

Liberation

These are relatively loose ideas to me but they give me some identity on the subject.

1. The life(driver) behind the physical body(vehicle). This 'driver' or one conciousness is everywhere. We die as a constructive entity, but if our body dies in a bed of plants, they grow quicker, get a little fatter, animals recycle what they need. That one concious grows up in many forms and experiences.
2. An expression of the driver.
3. Maybe in the sense of life being perspective. To understand what that driver is in its current physical form and restrictions could be it goals. A bird or fleas experience of life is totally different then ours, things from other planets probably perceive the world in senses we don't have.
4. I haven't taken any psychedelic or DMT as of yet.
5. We don't have too but of course we are going too.
6. We change!
