Some of my favorite tunes from the genre known as dubstep, I also agree with what was said some of the best dubstep originated from the bay area, check out bay area dubstep, all three volumes. http://www.amazon.com/B-...tep-Volume/dp/B0011U1MR8Its in your head

I LOVE psytrance but I often cannot bear listening to dubstep. I have to really be in sme kind of mood to want to listen to that. Long live the unwoke.

Big psytrance fan myself. I'm listening to it all the time these days. I've only ever experienced it live once, only because the psytrance scene is sooo weak here where I live. (nonexistant actually) I was on acid for that time and it was absolutely amazing. I'm definately gonna make it to some fests and stuff whenever I can. I can be 100% sober and it will get me in a pumped psychedelic trancey dancey mood, I love it. All the sounds n whatnot Not really a dubstep fan anymore, like at all, but hey I won't hate, everyone's different. That video was pretty funny [center]Sophia's Light
In darkest night, when lights are dim, and all in sight seems sad and grim, I find you there, your arms surround me, your spirit fills me and it grounds me. I look to you, Lady of Truth, most ancient One, yet eternal youth,to keep me safe, protect my heart, and with the wisdom you impart, fill up my empty mind and soul,so that, my Lover, you can make whole, all that was broken in this day –and that is what I ask and pray.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv-N_8Y8NJsTrance and dubstep combined, beautiful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y1hWi-vgoaUBeautiful vocal dubstep.. Seven lions IMO is the best thing to happen to dubstep, if you want engaging sound, airy melodies and great vocals without all the wub and sound nonsense that dubstep is associated with then I highly suggest these links.

A lot of the links I see people posting for dubstep artists on this thread are all for pretty well known/generic artists. If youre looking for heavy and dark then maybe you should stray off the beaten track. I used to listen to death metal so let that be an indication of what my taste in dubstep is like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbEgZ8koBQc^just got his album and it's some of the heaviest dubstep Ive heard so far ry legit is another great artist so heres one from his new lp: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWgmdfHsGLUand figure is great as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7z5L9yk4kIAUsing recreational drugs, including psychedelics, does not give you character points, it's not a means of fighting the system, it doesnt make you a shaman, and unless you actually get out and see the world - it wont give you any deeper insights into it. Can psychedelics bring about these qualities in a person? Yes, But they need fertile ground. What does this mean? Never stop filling youre head and never stop fighting. Otherwise youre just another wasted mystic sitting on your couch getting high. you dont know youre on a leash if you stand by the peg all day

An old one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2NXtR53qtYI did listen to Dubstep quite a bit but then I got into the Darkstep/Hardcore scene. Psytrance is fine too, I'd never go to a festival without a Goa-Stage

Old people in the 60s would've been reacting to psychedelic rock when they were used jazz and classical and whatever other stuff my point is it doesn't matter what year it is, the music old people listened to when they were young compared to the new music being released while they are old are always completely different "There is no teacher, no pupil; there is no leader; there is no guru; there is no Master, no Saviour. You yourself are the teacher and the pupil; you are the Master; you are the guru; you are the leader; you are everything. And to understand is to transform what is." - Jiddu Krishnamurti
Open your mind! Those without a welcome mat for new ideas won't ever learn how to live their life to the fullest.
existentialism - the philosophical idea that your own experiences & thinking initially determine why we exist and subsequentley, how we can fulfill our existence (our life). /////// I believe most of us come to the conclusion that we exist to exist, that there is no other answer for life. What we all debate in our own minds is how we should go about fulfilling our lives.

I listen to a lot of psybient (psytrance and ambient sub genre). I also listen to it at work and the people I work with are in their 50's with the exception of a few. I get comments like "stop listening to that electro rubbish....it ain't real music" and the most recent comment was "That bleeping and whizzing new age crap ain't music." I threw my trump card on the table and said it ain't new. Electronica has been around before 1963. Much head scratching, looks of confusion and laughter from my work mates until I told them the very first electronic composition was the theme tune to Dr Who. The workshop breakroom became suddenly awkward. The theory of drugs being dangerous and lethal developed a hole when Keith Richards was born.

The elders video made me lol. At one point one of the women said something like "It sounds dark and scary", and my thoughts were "yeah? and...?". I think that modern musicians are using music to evoke emotions that have not traditionally been expressible through music, and so people who grew up getting other emotions from their music will not know how to receive the message of something like dubstep. For the record, I really like the song Bangarang. Oh, and here's an electro drop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q92u4dllT1EEvery day I am thankful that I was introduced to psychedelic drugs.
