Definately music. Solfeggio harmonics series like " Awakening intutition" "936hz Pineal Gland activator" " 741 Concsciousness expansion" etc etc. On an "I pod", medium vol., best to make a special playlist for a trip with only that type on it. ( don't want some heavy rock with lyrics blasting in at an unopportune moment, yikes!)
Peace

I like to listen to some sigur ros while I blast off. At first I was doing it in silence and one day my friend suggested we listen to it. It was really a magical experience. I felt like that song had been made for DMT. In fact I felt like that's what I hear in my head when I smoke in silence. I can't remember the track title though. But all their stuff is great. Very beautiful, peaceful and serene. I haven't thought about trying binaural beats on DMT. I really must give that a try. I have a program called SBaGen that you can program binaural beats into. It comes with a pretty wide range of presets too so its easy to use. (I can't figure out the programming part.) The Earth It spins and shakes It spits you out It knows your name
I'm a pathological liar.

I started listening to 5 seconds of it, then skipped to the middle of the song, scanning ahead to see if it changes at all. Well, it hadn't changed much, and I was just about to turn it off, when about 3 seconds in after the jump I made, I found my head involuntarily oscillating to the music. I closed my eyes and my common phosphene hallucinations that I carry around with me day to day were snapping into tight, energetic configurations. There just might be something to this yet. I wonder what the frequency of the beats are. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein

I'm very much into music myself and I find that making music after coming down is incredible. My primary artist for accompaniment during a solid journey is by far Boards of Canada. I can't begin to describe how many awesome experiences I've had to all their work. They have a large range of styles and vibes on their albums ranging from the beautifully sublime (The Campfire Headphase) to the terrifyingly dark and introspective (Geogaddi). A primary experience of note was listening to The Campfire Headphase on headphones and watching a thousand rainbows and shafts of multi-colored light dance perfectly (and oh so beautiful!) in my mind's eye to the tight rhythms and melodies on a sunny autumn day. I will never forget that. Also, Jaga Jazzist is an awesome band whose stuff is excellent for a good journey. Their album from 2005, What We Must, is a classic in my opinion, and almost always finds a listen during a good trip. Sol Reverie is a fictitious creation of a lunatic mind, as are all of these statements.

I have tried music several times however I feel it tends to hold me slightly to reality.
The buzzing noise also tends to drown out the music which freaks me out tending me to turn it off and ruin my trip.
Headphones also I find to be the worst.
However get some nice chilling meditative songs on that last 20 mins and have a tea or something and relax and I find having everything ready to smoke at the last seconds of a song can totally relax you and send you to orbit nicely with no distractions.
Also off topic best trip I ever had was after drinking opium tea as this shattered all my need to resist at the come up stage

I'm actually suprised the amount of people who prefer no music. I'm just the opposite. I almost have to have music when I'm going on my hyperspace journey. Not only that but it seems the music you play affects how the trip goes. In any case my all time favor DMT song to trip to is by Tool - Right in Two After that I love hearing Puscifer, I once had somone try DMT for the first time and I played Pusicfier in the background, his reply was "Does the CD come with this stuff" I thought it was pretty funny "We are all one, there is no such thing as death and we are the imagination of ourselves." For high doses of vaped dmt i usually just listen to hyperspace nowadays because that leads to a deeper experience for me when we were introducing a lot of people to it years ago we would play Brian Eno's - An Ending (ascent) on low volume. it was great
<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

I like as well listening meditative sounds and ambients and kind of, though common music can be great. vocals can be distracting, as mentioned, but it worked with my favorite songs at times well. very interesting experiences as well with listening self made music (recorded eg. ..).
my first flight was accompanied by 'amon tobin - triple science': generally highly recommendable if you desire a rollercoaster ride. and totally opposite to any meditative or chilled music. for highspeed hyperspace jumps, this music reflects and accompanies, even supports the detailed complexity and sudden rush one can experience really well for me, but, yeah: its rushy!

Definately music gets me in the mood for vaping very well, that is, anxiety-free mood. When you have music instead of drumming of one's heartbeat(sometimes) to concentrate on, it's definately more comfortable for me, at least.

I tried out binaural low alpha for 20 mins before taking SMT. Really helped out with calming the mind before a trip. Yhink I have found a good way to prepare and ritualise my spice taking. The ritual I hope will help with calming the mind before I voyage! I like to make things up, everything above is made up and not real, it is a story for my own amusement. Sorry if you felt mislead.
I normally have to edit my posts within a couple of minutes for prose, spelling and grammar. Just to let you know.

I prefer music without lyrics as they can be a bit distracting, but it of course doesn't ruin anything. Favourite songs can be very good, too.
