I don't understand. And if it were a variant of LSD, which is most certainly is not, then would it be illegal regardless of whatever is written on the container due to the 70's anti hallucinogen act???

As some of you may have heard, but to my European brothers and sisters out there, in Florida (close to my home) there was a cannibal attack where a man ate a homeless mans face (not kidding).

Lo' and behold, almost every article I've read on it talks about LSD like it's automatically assumed that the person had ingested it (with no evidence or reason) & that it makes you go crazy and do stuff like this.

There have actually been 4 cannibals attacks in the same part of Florida so far this year.
When I heard about it I was right in the middle of a minor kind DMT trip and realized that I too had the capacity for cannibalism, it sounded so reasonable at the time. Seriously o.O I don't know what I was thinking. But if anything was going to convince me to eat someone's face, it would be bad LSD. I've seen a grown man bash his skull open with a piece of firewood while on a bad acid trip, then he smashed his friend (who was a girl) across the face and both had to go to the hospital. Meth doesn't even have that kind of potential, unless you are already psychotic.

I don't think that it's right for the media/anyone to immediately jump on the issue of psychedelics as the cause though, especially when there wasn't any kind of proof, and it's not a lone incident, but I understand why it would be an assumed culprit.

You can't really be sure when you take LSD because you most probably always buy it from someone else.

You also have to feel sorry for the "zombie guy". I don't know, wasn't there some other way to get him off :S

These kind of actions can only be induced by Salts...or Spices made by complete morons.Not too long ago Romania had big problems, kids took these spices and went nuts on parents, even had a murder attempt because of it.

People go nuts every day, with or without these drugs. People go nuts with alcohol, but it's no news to say "drunk person killed another".

This is sensationalism at it's best (or worse). Of course uncontrolled drug market has it's dangers, but other dangers related to health/purity, or the danger that the law creates by arresting/killing people and by forcing drug users to deal with criminal organizations.

To think any drug can be the only or main cause of such things is way too big a leap. It's propaganda to make people think that a perfectly good citizen can suddenly turn into a monster when using drugs, but that's not the case, if someone is eating someone's face on a drug then you can be sure there for sure is a social/psychiatric history behind that, and such "risky cases" should not be taking drugs in the first place.

It seems to me that mass media is playing a HUGE role in everything.
"Good" measures are only taken when there is a big mass media rumble going on about something, it doesn't even matter if the information's are correct or not.

People claiming in these articles that bath salts are the new LSD need to do more research before putting out such horrible media on psychedelics, or comparisons to for that matter. When these bath salts came out I was approached in a head shop by whay I assume was a sales representative, who asked me if I like cocaine, and offered me a free sample of some bath salts, or legal cocaine. A month later I heard people calling it the new ecstasy.. and now LSD. Give it up with the comparisons, its not like ant of these, its some synthetic chemical compound that poisons ur brain, just like serenity and k2 aka incense that u can compare to weed, which wasn't comparable to weed, it was like basically getting high on poisonous soap. I'm continually disappointed in my countrys media and government, ridiculous.

Well, obviously we've all ruled lsd out. But bath salts and coke are both central nervous system stimulants. Who eats anything, when your any type of speed? Seriously, it takes a lot of stimulant before you start getting delusional and at that point, you are not likely to eat anything.

Bath salts also were reported to be usec by the woman who sawed her infant sons head open and ate his brain.

I absolutely hate the mainstream media and the crap they feed the general population. This is why its so hard to have a legitimate conversation about psychedelics with "normal" people. You have to spend your whole time in damage control instead of having a meaningful conversation.

In the UK they were/are giving names like bath salts/plant food/pond cleaner ect to RC's.

Its all a bit grim.
