Greetings fellow sight seers. I am a herbivorous biped from the land down under. I enjoy music , art, gardening and reading among myriad other interesting things. I am a visual artist by trade and have been moving ever closer to the visionary/fantastic realism style although that is not how I make my primary income (which is based on community engagement projects - but I'm still am able to put my spin on what I create). I also create electronic music and have been in quite a number of (psychedelic metal) bands you probably have never heard of. Over the last few years I have developed a keen interest in 1970's prog rock and philosophy. I hope to be able to share some of my art and experiences with you and look forward to any discourse I might have with any other enlightened souls here.

Great intro and delicious "treats" indeed. Is it too greedy to ask if you have a website?

Regardless, welcome to the Nexus! Had a chance to try DMT yet? Kind of looks like, the answer is "Duh. . . yeah!" But you know how it is, had to ask . . . . Wink

Why thank you kindly! Yes this image was inspired by the spice which I have had a lot of experience with. I have also attended one Aya ceremony to date which was fantastic (my group is beginning to itch for another session). I have worked a lot with other entheogens over the years, my preference being for the naturally ocurring ones. My path seem to become more deep and spiritual each day so I love to document my experiences as art.

Wow, this artwork is amazing. Had I any artistic talent myself, I'd definitely figure out how you did these so I could try and create my own.

You think I'll see any of this on my first visit? ;D

I'd recommend beginning by sketching/drawing, it's cheap and a good way to learn the fundamentals. As far as computer art goes, practice, practice, practice! There's a wealth of free programs, information and tutorials out there. I can point you in some different directions if you think that it's something you'd like to explore.

You could see things on your first visit that will make my art look like a faded, poor fascimile of hyperspacial realities. I had the realisation during one journey that it would take the rest of my life to produce one work that would really capture the (essence and detail of the) whole experience and do it justice. Don't be too concerned about what your first visit (or any visit) will be like, the experience will give you what you need it to give you.

Beautiful stuff....

Could I ask what program you used for the ''Worlds' short?
Looks a lot like Structure Synth.
Lots of rendering time too..

I am a keen CG imager also...

Perhaps give this alien a try..

Pease out..

BTW. If your into prog rock...try Ozric Tentacles...not 70's but Awesome all the same...

Do you guys see things like this under the effects of the substance? I have had some psychedelic swirling of colors and the like, but on higher doses I go into a dream-state with more realistic stuff. Like my people in my dream are very humanoid.

@ bignoggin

Yeah very similar but constantly changing/folding at high speed.
I love this kind of Art as it is a reminder of hyperspace.

I guess everybody's experience is different but with similarities...

Cheers :-)

I used Mandelbulb3d for the geometrical/fractal sequences in WWW and yep, there was close to full year of rendering for WWW 1 & 2

Totemical's work is awesome! There's some really good visionary artists in the scene at the moment and he's one of my favourites.

That's very cool. I have only had 1 experience with fractal like folding/pieces, but they turned into viewing portals and they had beings inside of them.

I expect one day I might experience things like what others are seeing. That pink one with the 6 armed lady is incredible. I hope to bathe my brain with such images and eventually incorporate things like it into my experiences.

I'm on a metaphysical expedition. Not really looking for answers to the great mystery, but getting ideas. Possibilities, not certainties. I think certainties for me could be dangerous! Smile

Thanks for the inspiration!

You're welcome!

Sounds like you're approaching things in a respectful way and yes I agree, for me it's about the possibilities as well. Although it seems that the more answers you recieve the more questions you have to ask. I don't attempt to make any firm assertions about what I have experienced which is why art is such a good medium for recollecting my experiences. I can show others (roughly) what I have encountered and let them come to their own conclusions about what the pictures represent. I have my own suspicions of course but my worldview has changed so radically over time that I don't think it would be right for me to push any notions (certainties) onto others; I feel it's up to everyone to decide what lay on the other side.

Some call them spirits, some call them ancestors, some call them aliens, architects, sprites, elves and teachers. As always, ymmv.
