Just an update on my celastrus usage to date. I continued using PRN (as needed) throughout the semester and noticed effects similar to previous experiences. Recall is positively effected with, for me, a noticeable improvement in visual memory. While the seeds may be slightly stimulating, I don't find the effect so noticeable that it affects my sleeping. If I were studying for an exam in the evening, I would take a pinch of the seeds at night as well. I would often have vivid dreams, usually about school, which is not surprising, however, it is important to mention that I often have fairly vivid dreams anyways.
I found that when taking with an energizing mix of herbs like ginseng, green tea, and maca, I could function better both physically and cognitively on little sleep. I never pushed this past one night, though, and made sure to flank all-nighters with a night of good sleep on each side. I'm currently working on a tincture that combines some other cognitive-boosting and energizing herbs along with celastrus over my winter break. Should be ready in the next couple of days and I will post results when ready.
