but there is this air which i don't like where people seem to put down other forums and such for being inferior and full of crap and rubbish/fights etc.

The shroomery has helped me gaining a lot of knowledge about mushroom cultivation. It has also supported the nexus with several threads while the nexus was down. It's true that the tone is different and i like it better here, but still, a fresh perspective from time to time can't be bad and i think it is totally superflous to engage in forum fight. Just let them be as they are as we are as we are.

When the nexus was down for those recent periods of time, I too found my way over to the shroomery to try and get my psychedelic message board fix. I simply could not find it there. So much of the attitude on that forum is childish, immature and highly uninformed. Those who don't take the experience seriously will not have much to get out of it, and I think part of the Nexus' "rules and regulations" promote positive critical thinking that can help to allow you to derive the most value from your experiences. Some rules may seem obscure, but everything has a rhyme or reason and most Nexians are for this kind of structure. If you would like to talk about something that the Nexus does not encourage, then anyone is more than welcome to express such opinions elsewhere (such as the shroomery).

I don't mean to promote other websites, but the only other website that I have found that has a similar community to this one is Mycotopia.net. I have joined a variety of online mushroom websites, and most are riven by factions and cliques. The worst for this is The Shroomery. It's the most popular, so therefore mostly populated with immature antagonistic people. I found a lot of misinformation there, it was worse than 420chan and that's saying something! There are some awesome people on The Shroomery; but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good. I am just glad I found this awesome place!

Now maybe i haven't been here long enough and have got the wrong end of the stick but i just sense a bit of smug air and know it all hippy type feelings which doesn't feel right.

People here do a lot of research on related subjects. Its not being a know it all, its just different from a dude with a snoop dog avatar who may be on a pot forum or even the shroomery (not to dis the shroomery, I have an account, good people for the most part).

I think assuming people are hippies because they know about psychedelics and often relate them to spirituality or something very powerful is arrogant.
Locked up inside you, like the calm beneath castles, is a cavern of treasures no one has been to.

MojoPin is a fictional character and therefore all activity he is associated with should be treated as fiction.
