I don't agree with this. Imagine a world without them.

using psychedelics does very literally change reality..it is even something that can be measured and observed. Is the state of the human nervous system not a facet of reality?..and do the actions mediated by the state of the human nervous system not hold any significance in the ongoing creation of reality?

Everything counts. Dont for one second think it doesnt.

Long live the unwoke.

Well, of course psychedelics change you and you are a part of reality, so in that sense they change reality. But my quote is taken out of context. I didn’t qualify the statement because I thought the explanation that followed was clear to everyone. Apparently not.

I addressed the concerns of the OP – our interpretations of our experiences and resultant beliefs don’t change reality beyond our beliefs and resultant actions.

If we in fact are “robots”, then we were robots all along. If “aliens” probe our minds, then they’ve been probing long before we come to that realization. If we’re living in a computer simulation, then that’s the nature of our reality and always has been. Some might say that reality doesn’t manifest until it is realized by individuals. Maybe that’s true – if it is, then that’s just the way things work. Our realizations don’t change the fundamentals of how things work.

Let’s not turn this thread about the OP’s serious concerns into a debate about semantics.

the fundamentals of reality wouldn't change, but our relationship to them would.

Well of course it would. What's the point you're trying to make?

Whatever you believe or don't believe, doesn't really matter all that much. It is all just for the purpose of experience. There is no ultimate belief that can be had while in this experience because to do so would be to deny all other truths, and all truths are true.. yet no truth is the whole truth.. and even THAT is not entirely true.

Life is.

The more you try to figure it out the more it just unfolds. There is nowhere to go. When the search ends is when the treasure is found. Hahaha. And even that is not it, but its getting close

I by no means wish for anyone to take this as dogma.. This is just as false as any belief is. I would just wish to recommend that perhaps people take their thoughts a little less seriously

Enjoy Life because you can Smile

I thought I would share this story (I'm sure someone in this forum has read this) and I was hoping somebody could relate Smile
"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. It goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, "Hey - don't worry, don't be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride." - Bill Hicks

You stared blankly at me. “But all the people on earth…”

“All you. Different incarnations of you.”

“Wait. I’m everyone!?”

“Now you’re getting it,” I said, with a congratulatory slap on the back.

“I’m every human being who ever lived?”

“Or who will ever live, yes.”

“I’m Abraham Lincoln?”

“And you’re John Wilkes Booth, too,” I added.

“I’m Hitler?” You said, appalled.

“And you’re the millions he killed.”

“I’m Jesus?”

“And you’re everyone who followed him.”

its a fable like poem, but i feel like it hits really close to home every time i read it
