It's the same for the !Kung in the kalahari desert. Their diet did include meat and it was definatly favoured even though most of their calories they got from mulungu nuts. Still, that does not mean that their diet was more healthy. We just don't have the data to support that. What was a original hunter-gatherer diet anyways? We don't know. But "modern" !Kung definatly had problems getting enough calories.

Drinking some tea, una de gato is on the way as well as GDL (expensive, 30$ for 60 tablets...ouch). Beside that, not much....the current episode is already unfolding for 6 weeks at least. Should be another 2-3 months before it gets any better.

STOP EATING DAIRY AND ALL ANIMAL PRODUCT because it destroys your digestion.

Maasai, Inuts.

I personally haven't heard of a hunter gatherer society of vegetarians. I've read about lacto-vegetarians in India but that's it.

So, I hope you understand why I find your statement a little unfounded.

No worries, I didn't expect you to think we are the same as them. We have an extremely different culture that is far more destructive to our bodies than most 'hunter gather societies'. Besides my statement has nothing to do with what you are trying to say (vegetarians/vegans are a little unfounded).
This thread is about his digestive issues and not a debate between people that eat live foods vs dead flesh eaters.

What I am really saying that eating foods that are hard to digest like MEAT AND ALL DAIRY PRODUCTS(Gluten as well) will make things worse and not better.

Next to those stop drink alcohol and coffee. Smoking will f' things up too.

Never could have hoped for scientific articles being posted wow! Thank you!

I don't drink milk most days of the weak, basically no alcohol..sometimes coffee.
Testing food..well..i've got the symptoms all the time even if i do not eat anything at all. But eating helps to reduce pain. Someone said that this might be due to damaged stomach lining and that food kinda protects it from stomach acid. But also produces more acid...

I recently started to eat some ginger, but not regularly. Perhaps i should. Vitamin D ...hmm...need to read about it.

Have you had upper GI yet? I was having some nasty heartburn a couple years ago and got dx with a hiatal hernia, which is well known for causing reflux. The most obvious symptom of this is severe, stabbing pain around the bottom of the esophagus/heart area, but this is not always present (it was for me, not pleasant, feels like what I imagine angina would feel like). If this is the case, eating would not necessarily trigger the reflux.

Anyway, my doc recommended improving my posture and this has helped dramatically; I have a tendency to slouch bent forward and this can make the hernia more prominent, thereby increasing the frequency and severity of the reflux.

I still get reflux on occasion, but mostly it's when eating cooked tomatoes, chugging too much OJ, or ingesting other sources high in acid. I have noticed that raw vegetables and whole fresh fruits do not bother me at all, however...
Hydrocarbon is indeed a real person existing in real time. However, Hydrocarbon is actually a proxy for another individual, Nemano, that lives outside the realm of current Terran laws and regulations. All posts made by Hydrocarbon in which "I", "me", and other references to himself are the voice of Nemano speaking digitally through Hydrocarbon. Any illicit, immoral, or otherwise questionable behavior that Hydrocarbon appears to be admitting to are actually the actions of Nemano.

Occasionally, Hydrocarbon has been known to inject his twisted sense of humor into Nemano's words, but anything stated that was particularly witty or insightful was most likely not the result of Hydrocarbon's intellect.

My posture is pretty bad indeed, something to consider...
I just wanted to share the stuff that helped me:

cat's claw/unha de gato: A bit, felt like a really nice plant to diet with
grapefruit seed extract: This one helped me tremendously, i still take it with success. Improvement was felt after just a few days!
