Yes, there are these theories that fluoride in toothpaste harms your pineal. Often these extend to conspiracy theories where the big man wants fluoride in your toothpaste to keep you dumb!

Interesting point... that sounds logical to me because sometimes after dmt trip i dont know why but i endup directly in bathroom brushing my teeth. May be its because of the taste, but mostly i brush my teeth when the trip gets a bit unpleasant and im tryin to avoid the short after effect of dmt. Any further information on this subject will be so helpful Razz

What are these theories based on?

Edit : Huh. I answered my own question with Google. http://www.fluoridealert.org/health/pineal/ ...worrisome

Hahaha... I always brush my teeth after Ayahuasca, but that's simply a matter of taste. It's a race to get out of the washroom before the medicine kicks in... and I do use fluoride-free toothpaste. Razz

I am concerned about the exponential increase in DMT use because with that also comes an exponential increase in DMT misuse.

...but then again, maybe those who are misusing DMT will eventually see the light. (happened to me)

I'm torn on this one.
"I'm creeping back to life, my nervous system all awry, I'm wearing the inside out. Look at him now, he's paler somehow, but he's coming round. He's starting to choke It's been so long since he spoke, well he can have the words right from my mouth. And with these words I can see, clear through the clouds that covered me, Just give it time then speak my name. now we can hear ourselves again" Pink Floyd- Wearing the Inside Out

^the Nexus in part provides harm reduction to these new spicers. I try anyway and I know others do too. It's a big deal, dmt that is, and the community can help keep misinfo, mishaps, misuse all to an absolute minimum.

I'd correlate the relatively exponential increase in communication speed and spreading of info through the internet to that of dmt. I believe that curiosity about life, the universe, and everything is a natural factor of the human condition and something like interest in dmt is not at all surprising.

It's just that now the people who want to know more can and can be safer about whatever they choose to do once they have the knowledge. What if we had to rely on stories and legends? What if someone tried to do an extraction from 'something they heard from this one guy' and smoke the resulting product?

I heard about dmt in references in conversations, then stories about friends of friends, then heard some Terence and started reading whatever I could find. It's been beneficial to my life and is at least not bad to the majority of people that encounter it.

its possible that its no accident that DMT has made it to the western world. The internet has helped the cause immensely .

the two go togethor hand in hand. Perhaps there's no message at all . perhaps there is one.

I wonder where its going , can't wait to find out

I found out about DMT when I was a Junior in High School through Terence McKenna and Joe Rogan. I had never done any psychedelic but thanks to Erowid I had the entire A/B procedure memorized before I was a Senior in high school. I read about it and other psychedelics non stop. I didn't get to try it until after I graduated. That summer on the 4th of July, I was at a rave with Richie Hawtin playing and was chilling with my friends talking outside while they smoked a cigarette. My intentions going there were to get a legit MDMA connect. As were talking this hippie kid comes up and asks if we need any and we're like hell yea, so he runs off and comes back with three caps of amazing MDMA. So I decide this is who I need to talk to. So I offer to smoke some bud with him and we start talking. Turns out we have ALOT in common. Infact I was about to go to the same university he had for the same major and everything. Then he asked me if I'd ever heard of DMT, My eyes shot open and I was like "Yea!!!" He's like wow, I remember a few years back noone knew what it was. So we talk more and he starts talking about his life journey to understand these molecules and how they fit into our lives, and then was telling a girl that if someone ever offered her a mushrooms she should really consider taking it cause it could really change her life. After awhile of talking and a couple bowls and a spliff he offers me some MDMA he has for free and ofcourse I accept and offer him some of the mushrooms I had. Long story short were really good friends now and he's taught me alot. The first DMT I ever tried was from him, and it was everything I'd hoped for and so much more. He's a member of the forum though not so active in posting at times.
Step forward into your cave. That's right. You're going deeper into your cave. And you're going to find, your power animal...

Imagine your pain as a white ball of healing light. It moves over your body, healing you. Now keep this going, remember to breathe, and step forward through the backdoor of the room. Where does it lead?

My toughs too, I'm worried that it could lead to criminalization of entheogens soon or later. I don't want to see myself facing prison time for possession of demonized caapi or mimosa some day in future Crying or very sad

And other thing comes to mind: For me to actually get to experience spice powers was kind of 'end of the path' which started with hearing about it, desire it, doing some research on it, learning to extract it, overcome the fear to try it...Very happy , and I think this was the right way to get in contact and relationship with spice.
Other scenario: on rave party...Yeah, what is this? DMT or something...Can I try it,please? I'm bored, ecstasy is weak tonight...Ok here you go...
In my modest opinion this attitude (when unprepared individual treating spice as drug) could often lead to misuse and 'accidents' and further consequences for community. No good
