Aye, here's my current plan for making changa;

50ml Test tube.
Chuck in say 20ml of Hexane, submerge testtube in a boiling water bath for a minute or two.
Weigh out 1g of my freebased spice, crumble to fook and chuck in to the hexane.
Ensure fully dissolved, then chuck in my 600mg Caapi and 400mg Chali (I know it's 70:30 for Android, but Caapi gives me sinister vibes, so I'll be happier with less :lol.
Leave to evap by a window.

Forget the testube. Use a bowl with a large diameter.

Be sure to let the hexane cool before you throw in the spice. The boiling point of hexane is 69° - I can see you losing Spice if you bung it into hot Hexane. You have IPA though? That would work a treat, Spice dissolves perfectly in IPA or Acetone without heating.

- Soak 5g Caapi in IPA for 2 weeks
- Make change with Chali using the IPA from this Caapi soak
- Infuse all of this IPA into 1g Chali and 1g Spice

You can use this Caapi saturated IPA for any leaf blend.

I would like to infuse some IPA with caapi. May start that going now infact. How did you come up with the 2 week benchmark anyway, just curious if I can get away with less, perhaps by heating. I'm on a tight schedule. Must get as much journeying done in the next 3 weeks as possible.
I thought the point of no return with spice was 80 degrees and above? I re-xed with hexane using this kind of heating earlier, and its been fine. Although I added solvent to spice rather than spice to solvent :think:

We shall see. I'll report back on any more fuck ups, and will chuck some caapi in a jar with some IPA now.

20ml seems like a little to use, use 40ml acetone or IPA per gram of DMT.

You want the solvent to cover the leaf, and then some, but still wide enough to evap quik.

Cool, I've got 5g+ of finely cut Caapi (in with the freebased fumarate/sodium carbonate pulp from the freebasing tek I used earlier-just incase it's got anything of use left) sat in a jar with about 60ml of IPA.

It's a rather thick brown colour already :up:

Doubt I will leave it more then a few days though, I'm too impatient, especially as I'll have to wait for an IPA evap afterwards.

4 hours on and my other IPA evap has gone down about 1mm... Exciting stuff. Now has a lamp on it.

Get some acetone, it evaps in hours and bone dry over night. 2 weeks (Caapi/IPA soak) was the bottom of the range most people here talk about. I guess you could go for a week.

Are you working with Caapi vine or Caapi leaf?

Also, you mentioned that you were apprehensive of Caapi and her spirit. Whether you smoke the leaves, vine or an extract of either one, she will find you. She obviously has some business with you, I would not avoid her, go and meet her and work through it.

And I'm getting seriously arsed with my IPA re-x, the stuff just refuses to evaporate (test tube). Currently in a gentle heat bath to see if that encourages.

My experiment of dumping saturated carbonate solution into dmt laden water (again in a tube) to freebase it and alledgedly harvest crystals has yielded odd results. Have the water evapping now, and the solid from the bottom pulled out to dry. But the weird thing was what was floating on the top. Orange, gooey yet crystaline, smelt of DMT slightly (and limonene) and vapes really easily.

What's that^

Hexane re-x yielded 250mg of 100% white crystals, looked like pencil shavings Happy times. Contemplating whether my throat can cope with it.

As for Caapi's spirit. A) It's vine. B) It's just the smell that makes me a bit anxious. My harrowing ordeal was absolutely permeated with the stench of burning caapi. Since then I'm not such a fan, and it may be triggering recurrences of theme. However, nicking 'her' harmalines I can do

The IPA jar with my Caapi in is now my grab all 'residue catcher' as well. Anything with stubborn residues of unknown activity... pipette out some of the IPA from that jar, swish it round and dump it back in. Will coffee filter it before I use it.
