So I did my first extraction last night, took about 7 hours and I was worried it would fail. Used powdered bark found and Earthwalkers' take on Cybs tek. All went super well except at one point during the clean up I accidentally added too much water to the bottle and didn't have enough room for the full amount of solvent. I just sucked some out and moved on. I did use a HDPE jug for the initial soup and I won't be doing that again with this tek. My biggest fear for my first time was shattering a jar of caustic lye all over myself so I felt safer with plastic. However in this tek, the step of dissolving the lye in water before tossing it in the soup made me feel way better about that. All my final pulls went into a 8x6 dish and i was thinking it would be a failure because it was completely clear. I thought I should see some crystals or something form but got nothing. Let it freeze over night and woke up pleasantly surprised! It's been freezing 16 hours now, I'll try to post a pic. Not sure what this yield will be but i feel lucky to have anything for my first attempt. Looks like some pics ive seen but crystals aren't really that big. Should I let it freeze another night ya think?

Freeze precipitating doesn't generally give you large crystals, just small "snowballs". You also shouldn't mention how you acquired your bark. Anyway, it doesn't look too bad for a first try. Was that 100g of ACRB? Yesterday, upon the stair,

Anyway, it doesn't look too bad for a first try. Was that 100g of ACRB? Ok I will watch that. Yes it was 100g of very fine powder.

I'll post a pic after I scrape it up later. This is a very exciting moment for me as I have still not experienced this. A bit nervous about trying it for the first time without a guide since no one around here has either. Preparing myself with music and meditation.

Just make sure you give it plenty of time to dry under a fan and also use a razor blade for scraping, it is worth going to buy one if you haven't. If you don't leave it to dry for long enough it could be a little slimy when you scrape it and it will all clump together.

And you should be stoked ! I did this exact tek with MHRB a couple days ago and I got an emulsion in the mini A/B... So be glad it worked on your first time !

Nice man! If its very fluffy that might not be a gram but its gotta be close. I don't even use a scale, I infuse herbs with my spice (I get goo since I'm using acacia confusa and don't freeze precipitate or separate the nmt (methyltryptamine) which is also psychoactive yet less potent, from the dmt.) I then start with small amounts of infused herbs to see how potent it is and work my way up. Once I'm familiar with my blend I can confidently grab a pinch and smoke how ever much I feel I'd like to smoke. I also just eyeball out my doses of goo though; if your going to eyeball just start low. I also feel like you should start with low doses when unfamiliar with working with the spice. Just get a feel for it, get your feet wet, and wade in as slowly, carefully, respectfully as you feel. Work with it wisely and remember you have all the time (and material!) in the universe and there is no rush. Glad to here your journey is going smoothly, keep us updated!
