The only problem with that picture is that it is totally backwards.

I'm guessing the person who painted it was probably told what his religious views should be as well as what his political views should be.
Just another instance of people reacting and not thinking.

Obama and gang, the liberals, are the ones fighting for social rights.
Reagan and other assorted douche bags are the ones that have systematically destroyed liberties in this country.

Remember reagan was the president who as his very first action ordered the solar panels removed from the white house.
Yeah Reagan...you rock. NOT.

Anyway...it's not like this thread will change a single persons mind. Politics and religion are two topics that appear to completely shut down the human brain in the vast majority of the population.

If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

obama is trampling the constitution underfoot.
the forefathers of the USA are looking on in disbelief as he completely ignores the down and out average citizen.
the US dollar as paper money and stocks is strewn on the ground, completely worthless, no more valuable than newspaper blowing in the wind.
(i think the other papers are stocks)

I recognize the 6th guy from the right. he's the CEO/owner of New Path, who walks up to Bob Arctor while arctor is in the field of blue flowers amidst corn

Obama is stepping on the constitution. The other papers on the left are the different amendments. The 'Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act' , 'Federal Reserve Act of 1913' and the 'Social Security Act of 1935' is also seen next to Obama.

It is wierd that Reagon is show with the founding fathers and gesturing towards the plight of the average guy. Cool painting, I keep glancing at it trying to decide how I agree about some of the presidents and how they are portrayed, and others that I disagree with.

Both Bush's seem to be behind Obama. But then it looks like Bush jr is almost half-heartedly trying to gesture towards the bummed out "everyman".

Kennedy seems to be one of the only two whop even notice whats happening to the constitution.

There are those who would totally agree with Lincolns portrayal--he's rather plaintive and even pained about the common man's plight. They guy who started the "war of northern aggression" concerned about us regular folk?!

The painting seems like a pretty simplified view of things. The constitution has been amended many times to get us where we are today. And are the "founding fathers" really the people we want to look up to? The painting seems to imply that all the US presidents were somehow looking out for the "little guy" all this time until Obama came along and ruined it. Seems kind of naive

actually if you look at the body language of the latter presidents, they obviously appear slightly amused, if not indifferent, to the sorrow of the common man.
then again, many of the presidents are kinda just standing there like they just attended a convention.

but I'll tell you what's naive...thinking that the status quo for citizens became better with all these revisions to the constitution. democracy went out the window, and authoritarian rule took over. this probably happened after the railroad industry gained the right to legal representation as an individual entity, and politicians were bought out by corporate interests.

It's cute to talk about democracy going out the window when it's just a distracting propaganda talking point. The country is repeatedly told that we have to spread our democracy...which doesn't exist and never has. Democracy in America is as much a myth as creationist tales. There was never a moment in history when American individuals got to vote on issues. Just never happened, though I agree that the Carnegies and Rockefellers probably destroyed whatever sense of justice the country still had.

I think most of them don't give a fig about people, these are almost all very corrupted people except some as you may know and those did not die by ageing.

I don't disagree, but I do think Obama actually does. I also think he has been completely ineffective. He had a super majority and wasted it. Not the clearly racist other side won't even compromise on anything. Many have said time and time again that their primary mission is to make him fail. Not to make american better, but to make him fail.

Truth is I have a lot of conservative values. I don't see why we can't have a socially modern and fiscally conservative government? How do we pay for it? We we spend over 800B on military every year. More than the next 18 highest nations combined. Even if we cut it by 400B and only spent 400 billion we'd still be the highest spending nation.

The flat out truth is that we don't have a money problem in the USA. We have an allocation problem and an ignorance problem.

BTW Just remember that many of those founding fathers that the republicans like to put up on a pedestal were slave owners. That image depicts them looking sorrowful because the white youth can't get a job...but these people forced black people to serve them and work the farms.

The people that founded the USE were lawyers and business owners. Most of them were giant scum bags. The story of America's founding is only great in light of the dismal condition on the rest of the planet at the time.

Lastly all those screaming they want to get back to the original constitution need to understand that that means only wealthy white male land owners can vote....and black people will once again be treated like animals. The ONLY thing great about out constitution is the fact that it has been changed.

America has potential to be a very great nation. At times we have rise to the call. today we are the laughing stock of the world because we the people are so stupid that we allow the media to so influence our minds that we are actually debating against the 99% of climate scientist who say global warming is real.

If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

These days, left and right are two flavors of the same diet soda. They want us to get caught up in one side and fight the other to spread the hate but they both work for the same teams. Divide and conquer. I have no idea about presidents before the 60's, I mean every politician had blunders but I wonder if it's even possible to know exactly when our politics put money ahead of people. Were the founding fathers just as corrupt politically, are all of their patriotic quotes just propaganda?

Obama is a crook in my book, nobody makes all their campaign promises but there were promises he made that would have been simple yes/no decisions, but I'm pretty sure he changed his mind in office to make nice with his "rivals".

The painting is nice, disagree with some placements like Reagan. I think everybody behind and to the right of JFK is making their way to the authoritarian side. Bush Jr. isn't acknowledging the injustice, he's glancing indifferently. Clinton and his friends are applauding any number of freedom killing bills that disguise themselves as glorious improvements, like the NDAA. Great concept.

How is this? He wouldn't have signed off on the NDAA if this was the case.
