So, I was wondering, what path brought us together to explore hyperspace? When did you remove yourself from the standard norm and decide it was time to expand your horizons?
For myself, it was being born with insatiable curiosity about secret things, a desire to explore anything I could and the need for something more in life.
Situation-wise, it was simply because of the group of friends I kept immediately following high school, who introduced me to the world of illicit materials. When SWIM sampled weed, he was curious how things could shift so dramatically and delved into investigation, studying every drug (specifically psychedelics) he could.
Did any situation force your hand into the road less traveled? How did you find out about it?

for me i think it started when i began smoking weed. my experiences made me realise that there was so much i knew so little about, and soon later i was looking up LSD and mushrooms on the net all the time, reading people's experiences, enjoying the art people had produced as a result of their experiences, hearing so much awesome psychedelic music.. and after my first LSD and mushroom trips i never looked back. somewhere along the way i realised i was looking for something a bit deeper, and i have had a relationship with DMT ever since and it plays a huge role in my day to day life. The first time i smoked DMT, i was incredibly nervous, but the moment i felt its effects i realised i needn't be, and that i was in the hands of deeply caring entities

For me, it wasn't something I sought out deliberately... I didn't fit in, so I hung out with the wrong crowd, which led to smoking weed, which led to my first microdot, etc. The first breakthrough experience was years later, on shrooms, listening to really powerful music... Completely unexpected. Would not otherwise had any idea what I was missing.

The Internet was a new thing and I had no computer so I couldn't just get online and look it up... But ended up with a next-door neighbor who was well-versed, and had some books and other materials... Introduced me to Terrence McKenna and other writers...

So I was just stumbling along through life, and was fortunate enough to be blessed with a psychedelic education. But I never would have known to deliberately seek it out.

A higher power maybe... not quite sure... I know I was surfing youtube and then to that calm lady that talks about drugs and effects you feel, she always has a tiedye background. Then on to the spirit molecule interviews. Then years go by and then out of the blue I am researching about DMT and how to make it. Not quite sure why, but became obsessed by it the more I searched about info, experiences. Thats when I found Nexus on the experiences and teks. I was HOoked!

I have never been the same since then! Thanks everyone!

Hey Electric, is this SWIY's first extraction? SWIM's is swiftly approaching. SWIM can't remember being as excited about anything else.

I tentatively tried cannabis aged 17, a little wary about 'taking drugs', and found out much I had been told about it was not borne out by the experience.This led to a studious approach to exploring all ilicit substances, but DMT didnt cross my path until much later.I knew a guy who had been a mercenary in Angola who had tried it and his enthusiasm for the experience meant that I kept an eye out for it with little success until about 12 years ago.Then I came across the Nexus which made the process of procuring it ridiculously easy and the rest, as they say , is history.

I used to grow mushrooms and the people I got spores/learnt from were also into extractions. One day I was offered a journey and it scared the crap out of me... until I was gifted almost a pound of MHRB, did my own extraction and slowly built a "relationship" with the molecule...

I remember hearing about weed, LSD and mushrooms waay back when I was a kid. Maybe 4th grade or something, I really can't remember. I knew back then that I have some way to go before I could try any of it. Years passed, and at my 2nd workplace, I have met a guy who soon became my mentor, and still is today. He offered me my first joint and that was the starting point of my "career" with such things. Then parties followed, MDMA, lots of new friends, lots of life experiences.

It was only last year (about 6-7 months ago), that I took the psychedelics path. I'm 25 now. I took LSD about a year ago, but I had no idea how it worked back then (luckily I was inspired and went for a looong walk outside, it was summer). After that trip, I started investigating these mind expanding substances, because I felt attracted to them more than socially accepted substances. Those could teach me a thing or 2. Then, the same mentor I was talking to you about brought up DMT and told me a couple of things about it. And here I am, a couple of months later, only having smoked small doses so far in the range of 5-10-15 mgs - had to work out some serious stuff in my life, and so I did.

What pushed me further and further was the same thing that's driving you as well: an inherent curiosity about every little thing. I rarely thought about the future even before psychs, so I never felt forced to do something. It was always my choice that mattered. When I didn't like something, I simply stopped doing that (be it home stuff, job related things, or personal issues). Seems to work better this way, at least for me.

when I was traveling through china at age 16 I met a guy who told me about his experiences with lsd and mushrooms. He was a very inspiring person, at least to me at the time. And he certainly wasn't the kind of person propaganda had told me "drug users" are... so I decided THEY were wrong and I wanted to find out for myself what it's all about. Thus began my psychedelic carreer.

I read about DMT but it took me a good 10 years until I finally figured out how to extract and also had the means to do it. I got the idea to try it at a point in my life in which I felt trapped and disoriented and needed some kind of new impulse to find a new direction. My dmt use provoked some heavy thinking and realignments.

Curiosity, a desire to connect with people who could understand the sort of experiences I've been going through, and furthering my own knowledge in the topic.

The first thing that got me interested in drugs was the anti drug propaganda fed to me at school from an early age, maybe 10 or so. After the whole "the side effects are X,Y,Z... the positive effects are blah blah blah..." I decided that I could totally handle the side effects in order to taste the positive effects. I remember being particularly interested in cannabis, ecstacy, partly because it was strongly affiliated with a lot of music I listened to. I LOVED listening to all sorts of dance music back then, particularly Prodigy, chemical Brothers etc. And of course LSD and Mushrooms held a certain allure as well. I didn't hear about DMT until I was maybe 20.

At the age of 15 I had my first taste of cannabis, and instantly fell in love,it felt so much nicer and cleaner than drinking. I gradually became more aware of how much we had been flat out LIED to about these wonderful plants and compounds, and I began to become increasingly interested in all sorts of drugs.

At the age of 16 I sampled mushrooms, and had a wonderful time.

At 17 I started going to raves and sampled my first (of MANY) ecstacy tablet - I was blown away to say the least!

At 18 I had 2 drops of acid, and had a profound trip, which ended up with one of the people I was with beating another guy almost to death. One of the most traumatic nights of my life for sure. It took a long time for me to be comfortable taking LSD again after that, but I have certainly had some of the best nights of my life with cid, and combos with MDMA, K etc...

At 18 I also tried Ketamine for the first time, but it was after 9 ecstacy pills... At this point I started to become rather reckless with my drug intake and would just eat anything and everything I could get my hands on, cocaine, speed, tranquilisers, what ever really. Stupid I know.

At 19 I moved away from my home town and made new friends - a very good decision. I began to experiment with LSD again, as well as continue using MDMA, Cannabis, Ketamine and all that good stuff

At 21 I had my first taste of 2CB, which I also fell in love with - and that finally sent the ball rolling into an obsession with psychedelics - I read up on Shulgin, who i still regard as one of the best human beings ever and got lost in the wealth of information that was available. I remember talking to a friend around this time who had tried DMT and didn't particularly like it, but that was enough for me to start reading up on Ayahuasca and all that. I alsoo experimented with 2CI later on (24-25), but was not particularly fond of it...

At 22, I had my first proper Salvia experience, unfortunately it was after a nights drinking and I loaded up a massive cone of 20x. Needless to say i got my arse handed to me on a platter and I am still reluctant to go back! I plan to grow my own and work with it that way now as I feel this is the more respectful route.

At 25 I started to feel a strong pull towards DMT, it would turn up in my dreams, it would pop into my head randomly for no reason. At this point I knew I had to try it. I managed to get hold of some Changa and was absolutely dumb founded by what i experienced. I knew that this was what i had been seeking in those other 'Hallucinogens', and soon after was extracting my own and delving deeper than I could have thought possible.

At 26 I have completely changed my life style, and am looking after myself much better, thanks in no small part to DMT and the Nexus.

So that is a brief summary of what brought me here

When I was a senior in highschool, I had a friend who I knew since 7th grade (still friends) and when he was a junior he started selling weed, mushrooms, lsd, lsa and some others... So one day I met up with him at a local park and he said he got something new, something that would change me forever, but for the better. After smoking some weed and just chillin` like a villain he pulls out 3 little dub baggies full of a pale yellowish powder. He said that it was DMT and offered me some for free. At the time I had no idea what DMT was so I asked him to explain the trip, he said it was like diving headfirst into a pool of mystery and astonishment and that it would be one of the most intense trips of my life. Hearing this made me a little scared to try it, seeing as I had only done mushrooms twice (3.5 grams both times) and lsd once(2 sugarcubes) prior to this. So I told him I would try it tomorrow at his house.

For the remainder of the day I had DMT on my mind, thinking what the trip would be like, what it feels like, how long it lasts, is it possible to have a bad trip? And eventually.. the next day came and I drove to my friends house. He didn't have a vape so he asked me if I wanted to smoke it in his pipe, bubbler, bong, or steamroller. I chose the steamroller, which was about a foot and a half long. We rolled a blunt and smoked that while I waited to trip. Stoned and ready to go, he loads a bowl of bud with about 35-40mg of DMT on top of it, caked between another layer of buds. He handed me the steamroller and told me to take deep breaths and hit it whenever it feels right. I clear the bowl in one fat rip and hold that shit in like a fart during a presentation. The last thing I remember him telling me is, "Please dont shit on my bed"... Within about 2.3 seconds of inhaling that cloud of smoke I already felt an intense feeling of the air leaving the room and thought "Oh shit, im fucked..." the next thing I remember is a strange feeling of liquid squirting out of my puckered anus, though
when I came through, I was dry. Anyways, I remember the walls and the furniture sort of looking at me, like they knew what I was in for. And then I heard it, the carrier wave bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZTTTTTTTTttTTTtT... I honestly cant remember much of this trip after this because it was unexplainably intense and pretty scurry... But yeah, I guess thats how I uh,,, got here? :3

This is my first, yes. Just going to take my time and do a small extraction first to get the hang of it. 50g batch, see how that goes. And yes, mega excited! . Life changing event coming up!
