Hi guys, I'm looking forward to being part of this forum. Very often I came across the Nexus during my research, for example, when it came to the preparation of ayahuasca.

I live in Brazil and have taken ayahuasca here for the first time about 4 years ago. My first experiences were very weak and I had no severe nausea, vision or hallucinations. Yet, in the hours and days after the ceremony, I realized that something remarkable was going on in my mind.

I informed myself about research results from the science on Ayahuasca and was amazed how much scientific material was available here. The results were also very promising and sometimes almost too good to be true.

The great thing about Brazil is that Ayahuasca is legal in ritual use, but the commercialization of Ayahuasca is prohibited. As a result, there are various types of religious communities, from the catholic influenced Santo Daime, to holistic and Buddhist communities, which offer open Ayahuasca ceremonies and charge only about $30 per participant.

Meanwhile I have ayahuasca in the fridge and micro-dose ayahuasca when I feel stressed or depressed. It's always amazing how a single spoon of the stuff can improve my well-being in just a few minutes.

Yes, what did I want to say ...

Well, I have a need to communicate here. I first heard of Ayahuasca when I was 16 and still living in Europe. It was a classic Ayahuasca documentary I watched on VHS with a friend. Since a trip to the Amazon was unlikely at that time, I have never pursued this topic further.

When I was in Brazil, I started to research where I could drink ayahuasca and came to Santo Daime. However, my research told me that the setting was not exactly ideal. Too much Catholicism for my taste.

By a mixture of coincidence and stubbornness, I found out that there is a colorful underground ayahuasca culture that even most Brazilians have no idea about. Ayahuasca ceremonies take place every weekend and virtually every next corner in Brazil.

And people make the tedious journey into the jungle of Peru to drink Ayahuasca for several thousand dollars under strict rules and diets? While a few miles further, Ayahuasca is served virtually free of charge? It's a crazy world we live in.

So much of me for now. See you!
