Anyone had any good experiences with herbal stimulants? I've tried a few but they've all been a bit well... lacking in effects?

Kratom was the only one i thought was going to do something after some one reccomended it but even that preeettty much did nothing.

Any suggestions?

isn't kraton more of an opiate like downer?

Yohimbe is apparently good in small doses..I have no experience with it though.
I like small doses of good organic coffee here and there..or yerba mate.

Ya i wasn't sure but erowid classes it as a "stimulant" and a "depressant" so. I'm not really sure how that makes sense but Razz ah well!

Low dose Kratom can be quite stimulating and higher doses can be sedating, swim prefers low dose but something he hasnt really ingested much tbh

Snorting kanna can be quite stimulating, though quite subtle. Very synergestic with alcohol. Cocoa can be stimulating also, similiar to coffee id imagine, though I dont like coffee, swim can only dream of mescaline and coffee, coffees just horrible for swim. Just thought there, mescalines very stimulating. Guarana is also quite stimulating, but again in swims expereince just like good cocao, nothing too obvious. Yohimbe was stimulating for swim but quite jittery for two hours or so and both times his testicles weent very sensitive for those two hours, after that it was enjoyable but enough to put this swimmer off it, he thinks he maybe used to much, as his friend swears by it as a great aphrodisiac Wink

Chewing khat is probably one of the most stimulating plants swims come across, nearly like amphetamines and mdma but seems less harsh on the body, which is a good thing, also kinda similiar to cactii, it is a phenethlyamine like mdma and mescaline, im not sure if all cactii are phenethylyamine's. Swims tried the yerba mate also and its like a good cocoa again, khats the best this swimmers come across for obvious effects, increased heart rate, very talkative and sociable, sweats sometimes and of course the big tell tale sign, shrinking penis lol

Ephedra and Coca are by far my favorite stimulants.

Khat too, but it does more than just stimulate.

Yohimbe and kola nut are the best herbal stimulants, especially when combined. Yohimbe gives you long lasting physical strength, while kola nut makes you feel mentally clear and energized. Kola nut also causes euphoria. It’s very nice.

The plants in the Ilex genus like "Yerba Mate" are good too.

What is the safety of yohimbe I haven't researched it,but heard that it could have some bad side effects high blood pressure, sweating, headache etc. this could have been a combo with other ephedra or something else used for fat loss though I don't remember. Where did you get your khat infinite does it grow where you live, I hear some strains are way stronger than others and it usually lasts an hour is that correct I've never done khat before?

The local somalis sell it, £4 a go. Id say it can last 3-4 hours, effects will be noticed after 30mins of chewing. Id look out for places where somali or yemanese men hang out. It doesnt grow here, ive noticed the fresher it is the stronger the effects will be, never noticed any different strains.

I was wondering ron how best to ingest the kola nut? I remember ohayoco was talking about it and he mixed it with pickling lime im sure for better sublingual obsorbtion and he ended up with a painful mouth for a few days, this put me off tbh but euphoria and energy sound cool!

Yeah, Maca is great. Especially combined with Schisandra berry. Both are, however, not stimulant in the sense that Yohimbe is. They are more like adaptogens, providing a subtle - but definitely noticeable - mental and physical stimulation. Yohimbe is a true stimulant, much like Ephedra, but with a more crude effect working on several parts of the brain. It also has nearly the same effect as Viagra, something that should be taken into account. Also remember it is a weak MAOI.

When it comes to Kola nut, I find that it clouds my mind. It might be me that is sensitive, personally I prefer the adaptogen-type stimulation if I need all my mental capacity. It is somewhat physical stimulating, and the euphoric feeling is great.

I make iced tea out of it using 1 teaspoon of powder in hot water, filter, and then add ice, some sweetener, and a few drops of lemon juice. It tastes sort of like coca cola that way. It's quite good actually. I never tried sublingual use. Maybe that gives a different effect.

Ephedra has always been nice.
Works well when one wants to stay alert and fresh while/after taking alcohol.
Also nice to use in the end of a mushroom trip, very refreshing.
Nice deep breath and so on. Quite calming actually.

That was areca nut (sometimes called betel nut), unfortunately I was told that arecoline is carcinogenic and the isolate isn't as good as the nut anyway, a real shame.

-Dreamer found chewing coca to be the best mild stimulant (as in, replacement for caffeine), but it's not for parties.
-Ma huang (ephedra) is speedy in quantity but easy to OD. 1.5-3g tea according to his friend, if I remember correctly. Dreamer put a massive bagful in to make tea once when he was young and stupid, great dancey fun until the heart worries began and he had to lie down worried for his life, with his heart beating out of his chest like a cartoon. Be careful.
-Kratom is very stimulating in lower doses (say, 5g tea?) realm, really made him dance but made him forgetful and act stupid and gave a headache the next day.
-5g Peruvian Torch is lovely combined with a few beers, a little MDMA like, but more mentally than physically stimulating, can reduce energy levels and give tummy trouble. Can be a raging aphrodisiac. Have been meaning to combine it with a d.stromium seed and a little ma huang extract, please let me know if this is a bad idea.
-Cocoa powder does nothing to him... how much are you eating?

He has yet to try yohimbe, maca and khat (have been looking for those fabled Somali shops for a while now!), thanks for the reminders, the search must continue! Dreamer has yet to find the perfect herbal party potion.

Aye thought that a couple of days later after my post ohayoco, was betel not kola my mistake forgot to say. Embarrased

The raw cacao I make is stimulating, I get mild stimulation and alertness from a tablespoon roughly with milk and honey, i imagine its like coffee, see I dont like coffee so seemed a good alternative for me, plus it tastes great!
