Would someone mind taking a look at this pic?

They are king oysters. They have been fruiting for weeks but veerrry slowly and now all these new pins are showing up on the mushrooms that have already grown.

Is this how its supposed to happen? Any idea how much longer until they are ready?

I haven't grown these before so I am a bit clueless.

Thanks for any advice xx

Funky fruiting, for sure! Hard to know etiology without bunch of specifics. Appears to be an "aborted flush". Indeed, who cares...much potency(not psycho?) in that flush, I'd bet. No contam evident. Could be(???) too much CO2 in fruiting chamber. Prob ought, harvest and ENJOY!

Peace

No that's not how they are supposed to grow, but without knowing your growth parameters it'll be hard to tell what the issue may be. It looks cool AF though!
Here's what a couple of mine looked like.

hrm... I have seen this happen before, with me it was a bacteria infection of the sub which caused all mannor of perverted fruiting.

Looks like a contam has caused this...

Yeah that's common. They pin/grow in clusters like that.

As far as the extra large stem and small cap, you should probably look into giving them a bit moar fresh air exchange.
