Just curious of the social setting that people prefer to experience pure DMT in. This poll does not apply to brews containing DMT, pharmahuasca, etc. that might be used in a ceremony setting.

Thanks for participating!

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

When I journey, actually when I last journeyd. I would only smoke by myself. I had a close group of friends of about 5-6 that I shared with. Only one person was truly attracted to the experience instead of the dissconnection.

Unfortunetly a series of unfortunate events have separated us with time & distance. Although I KNOW I will, someday, have an experience with him by my side. Saying this I choose the last two options.

Wow! I love this statement. Although not directly bound to any one answer in the poll, it is absolutely relevant to "intent" of not only a Spice journey, but to embarking on any psychedelic journey. Well said man!

All the best in reconnecting with your friend.

Peace!

Thanks to all of those that have answered this poll. I actually wasn't expecting such a dominant sway in the results. I was expecting a slightly more gradual curve to this poll. I was just a tiny bit concerned that I was too introverted, and preferred isolation to a fault. It's actually reassuring to see that so many others prefer the experience in isolation as well. For me isolation just seems logical, I just have to be able to let go completely. Unless I blast off so fast, and so far that I entirely bypass the notion of others in the room whatsoever, my "setting" can't have any sentiment of being observed by another human being. Otherwise it draws me back toward the physical, and detracts from the experience.

Additionally... although I am a complete music freak while straight, as well on any other psychedelics, I am not one for music while journeying on the spice. When going in, music or sound feels like an anchor between the source of music and my consciousness, and seems to bind me to earthly reality. I guess I'm just about as little external stimuli as possible to have the best experience. Give me any other mind expanding 'dellic, and I'm all about music and other sensory input! Not in hyperspace however, it seems to sing its own song, do its own dance, and speak its own language.

I would love to hear more from people who prefer their journeys with one or more human's around, or sound, or other external stimuli, or even more people who agree with the majority selections right now.

Please vote if you haven't! I'd love to see a full spectrum representation!

Peace and Thanks!

I voted alone but with a loved one close by...As I like to keep my spice journeys a secret and sacred thing...

Smoking it in groups can be sort of distracting for me if the set/setting isn't perfect. With one other close person though can be great. Its nice and comforting to know someone is there while your out there, and afterword talking about the experience to another human and getting it all out of you feels amazing and helps me understand and integrate the experience better

DMT is a total trip into one's own imagination. Having others around...what's the point of that? You will be interacting with your own imagination, not other people, so I don't see a reason for requiring others to be present. It's like dreaming. You dream alone. No one is there with you when you dream. There might be someone lying next to you in bed, but you experience your dreams alone. DMT visions are like dreams and should be experienced alone in the dark.
You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

If you see me at the waterpark, please say hello. I'll be the delusional 50 something in the American flag Speedo, oiling up his monster guns while responding to imaginary requests for selfies from invisible teenage girls.

yeah I agree I preffer to be alone, in the dark or with very dim indirect light... If there is somebody then of course they must be completely quiet, and must be someone im very comfortable with

with oral dmt its different... group works can be incredibly healing in ways different than solo trips (none substitute the other.... each way has their own place)

Its a ceremony for me.
Never when I'm stressed or tired, only when I'm feeling strong and at peace, alone and will have no interruptions, after a hot shower, lying naked ( nothing sexual about it,) on a soft bed in a warm room.
Then is the time.
Oddly, I never use spice to de-stress, ( I usually use alcohol for that a few times a week,) but spice does sort away the stresses in my life and puts them in a better perspective for me where I can face and manage them better.

Peace
