Hello. Last night i took about 3 grams of rue boiled down into a shot thst i then took, 1 hour later i took 2.5 shrooms and was off. Crazy trip till about 4 hours in when my hands started to feel tingly and become red, almosy kike circulstion was very bad i could curl my hand into a fist and it would tingle and go from red to white. At thie time i was worried because my hands were very swollen so i got up to walk around. I brcame very light headed and pale, and began to sweat profusely. I got my girlfriend to call 911 because i was scared i had nevercfelt like that tripping and i felt as thiugh i would pass out any second.. This haooened for about 20 mintues building up, until i almost threw up but didnt then finally i started to feel better, my hands still swollen and i felt like i had no idea whrre i was and i didnt feel comfortable in my own skin, i showered after that and it didnt even feel like my shower.. I also had a rwally really hard time putting thoughts together after this and i couldnt really "think". I ended up cancelling the 911 call as i live in canada with no charge after i started to feel better.
I want to try this combinstion again but not till i get to the bottom of tjis, if anyone could please help or provide insight that would be very very much appreciated
Thank you

Yeah i've had a couple Psilohuasca experiences with my new girl here recently, her hands became red and swollen too but she otherwise felt fine and after the experience was over her hands went back to normal. I myself notice i get a red flushing in my face from Psilohuasca, but haven't particularly noticed my hands getting swollen. I don't think it's anything harmful and things usually seem to go back to normal after it starts wearing off, but i myself have wondered what's causing that. Kinda reminds me of like a Niacin flushing or something. If anybody else can chime in or knows what this is, let us know because while i myself am not particularly concerned, i would like to know more about what's going on that's causing that.

And i've noticed it happens with both mushrooms, and with 4-ACO-DMT, in combination with Harmalas, can't remember if i've noticed that happening with them without the Harmalas, so i think it's something about the combination, but idk.

My last psilohuasca was physically a real hard and gnarly experience. I've had some truly wondrous, blissful and ecstastic experiences with this combo, but I've also had some more harrowing experiences when combining it with DMT. The B. caapi ayahuasca vine is a much more forgiving plant to work with in a psilohuasca/MAOI adjunct perspective. There are some other alkaloidal nasties in Syrian rue that render it feeling more toxic on the body, and much less well tolerated as the dosage increases...ayahuasca vine lacks these and can be consumed in much larger amounts. I had a recent experience ingesting Syrian rue tea with a good dose of dry P. hoogshagenii 'Semperviva' mushrooms. Mentally, the experience was fantastic...exalted, light filled, blissful, while being able to peer into my shadow from a perspective of levity, I also had a creative breakthrough with an important work related project. The experience was long lasting...11 hours later I was still feeling it, and I found it interesting how the feel and vibe of the experience shifted gears as the Syrian rue started to abate, and the mushrooms came into the fore. My body was very unhappy though...nausea and vomiting I was expecting, but it was pretty unrelenting...also what I would intuit as feeling my blood pressure being elevated, aching kidneys, and a painful, aching gut. I was really quite worried at one point for my physical safety...this was not a mental "bad trip" it really felt like a physical poisoning. My seeds were old, perhaps things had degraded in some way? I have made Syrian rue tea in the past without these issues. But it pretty much turned me off for good...I would be really quite wary about using it again, and if so would go with a clean alkaloid extract.

I always use Rue, i'm very experienced with Rue, me and Rue have a very special relationship, so i stick to Rue. I can understand how it may feel toxic, but it's not actually toxic, i've taken it very regularly, took it with the DMT daily/near daily for 4 years, and even took the full spectrum Rue extract daily for 8 months straight, working with full on dosages (taking advantage of the reverse tolerance, by taking the same dosage and letting it get stronger and stronger, but also gets cleaner after awhile and the side-effects go away) and no "toxic" effects noticed other than how the bodyload can feel.

But if you add in 3 to 4 grams or so of dried Lemon Balm leaf tea (use loose leaf, steep shredded leaf in a cup of hot water for 15 minutes or so, strain/filter out the leaf matter and squeeze out any remaining liquid from the leaf matter, sweeten or not and enjoy), then the Rue cleans up very very well, like i ain't kidding, it cleans up how the Rue feels mentally and physically, makes it feel way better, i highly recommend it.

I also think pure Limonene may block out the nausea/vomiting, but i'm not sure yet because i've only just begun to put it to the test, i know Lemon EO seemed to block out the nausea/vomiting, but now i'm trying the pure terpenes and Beta-Pinene wasn't it, the Cholinergic Alpha-Pinene wasn't it, and i'm thinking it's the Limonene, i took 10 drops in a capsule with some Rue the other day and it worked like a charm, no stomach issues. Limonene is rumored to possibly be a 5-HT1A agonist and i'm pretty sure it is based on what all i've felt from it, and 1A agonists apparently indirectly inhibit a receptor called NK1 and as such can apparently be used as an anti-emetic, so i'm pretty sure it's the Limonene, but i've gotta put it to the test more, and plus i gotta make sure it doesn't alter/flavor the Psychedelic-related component in some undesirable way, if at all.

If this is a phenomena common to numerous people, some things to figure out are:
Is it only rue brew and not isolated harmalas that cause it? (influence of accessory alkaloids)
Does it only happen in winter? (promotion of chilblains)
In susceptible people, when not drinking rue does washing the hands with it or rinsing the mouth with it cause any degree of inflammation? (allergy)

It does seem to happen with purified Harmalas as well, ime. I think it even happened when i used Moclobemide for the MAO-A inhibition.

I have experienced that with just plain shrooms without anything added as well. I think harmala's can make it worse, but shrooms by themselves can be physically demanding sometimes.
