This time got myself into making a Soxhlet body, I have acquired a cheap 50cm long, glass Graham condenser to put on top of the body. All copper piping, body 2", leg 1" pipe, vapor 1/2", 1/4" gas thin walled tube for solvent cycle. The cycle level is adjustable by means of lengthening or shortening the the return pipe using a flexible transparent tube of various length (not pictured). If I use a long piece of tubing to join the 2 smaller tubes the cycle would be longer, you get the idea. A clear tube allows watching the level of solvent in the system.
Top cap is to be secured with some Teflon tape.
Soldering was made is this order, 2" cap on the body, the leg, top vapor nipple then lower (then drilled out holes and cleaned), completed vapor tube, drilled out a hole in the corner of the 2" cap to secure the solvent tube lastly the solvent return.
The soldering paste was cleaned with tissue papers while the pieces were still hot after soldering. Some cleaning probably needed to remove traces of paste.
