Hey everyone, my name is Sømnium and im new on here, i was just wondering if i could get some advice from everyone else too see what you's think

I live on the East coast of Australia so my importing capabilities are very low, but luckily my area and areas near me a filled with many ethnobotanicals, i am wishing to go camping soon and embark on my first orally active dmt experience in the form of an Ayahuasca brew, however i am making a twist on the ingredients due to my own personal reason, want this brew to have some sort of symbolical connection to the land ill be camping at, so i am using Acacia Confusa bark and leaves/ vines from the Banisteriopsis Caapi vine but i may end up extracting the harmalas into a freebase instead

So, after abit of explaining, what do you guys think a good start dosage is? I have alot of experience but i know when i shouldnt go beyond, i have 100g bark and unlimited source for harmalas so in saying that, what do yous think?

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Hi, welcome to the Nexus!

Acacia confusa can be pretty variable in alkaloid content so it is generally recommended to start low to get a good feel for the particular batch of bark before upping the dosage too drastically. With Mimosa, people generally start at about 3g bark along with about 3.5g Syrian rue (tea or some just eat the seeds. I prefer tea or harmala extract as they have been more effective for me).

I don't have very much experience at all with b. caapi so I can't really recommend any dosing there. I found rue to be reliable so never played with b. caapi much. But, for acacia confusa, a good starting point would be somewhere between 3-5g. If that ends up being too weak, I'd up it by 1 or 2 grams each time until you find your sweet spot.

However, it can be a tricky beast getting all the timing correct with MAOI/RIMA inhibition. I'd say it is more important to get that right first before upping dosages of DMT. Proper inhibition will require much less DMT to get the job done. Then there is the whole argument of taking them separately or together. For me personally, I found that ingesting the MAOI/RIMA first, followed by the DMT no more than ~10 minutes later has yielded good results.

Anyway, hopefully some of this is useful to you! Have a nice day!
