Hello, before i begin i will be talking about my very own brother who is 20 years old.

On Feb 19 his birthday, my brother took a whole 1/8 of Mushies, very late at night, around 11pm, i had warned him not to take them on his own as he had never tripped on his own. Yet his curiosity got the best of him and he took them, all. That very night i had done shrooms too, as i am the one who gave them to him. Yet i went to trip with a couple of friends, he decided to do them alone on his room late night. What happened in the late hours, my brother called me around 3am to tell me he was having a really bad trip, he was vomiting, i told him hes guna be alright and told him ill be there as fast as i could to calm him down. By the time i got there my mom had already figured out he was under the influence of something, his body was yellow. and from what my brother told me after this night, he has undergone a really bad trip, involving multiple personalities, and voices, in his dark room. My mom being a mother decided to take him to the hospital where they had him basically wait out the effects. It was a cery unfortunate situation that night that lasted from 11pm-10am .

Days pass. And now my brother is vomiting at random, describing a feeling of uncomfortableness and fear, he has no idea whats triggering this and has constant growing anxiety the more and more he thinks about it and vomits. We have taken him to the doctor and hospital to really see if there is anything physically wrong with him, had test ran and nothing came up. Doctors are convinced this is all in his head, and anxiety is the issue. He has never had anxiety in his life, hes been a normal person for all his life. Yet after the bad trip this all started occurring a few days after, its been on going for 2- almost 3 weeks now, and today they prescribed him Xanax. The doctors are asking if he’s depressed and his response is no. Hes scsred that he got prescribed Xanax due to fears of becoming addicted. Can anyone share their knowledge on what they know and what theyve experienced during their bad trips and after effects? This situation is putting a stress on all my family as we are all worried, any way we can get help or any of you Know how to cope with this , it seems to happen every time he eats , he vomitts soon after, yet it has nothing to do with stomach problems, more into anxiety

I am a firm believe that if the mind can create something then it can stop creating it as well. If this is anxiety as the doctors suggest, then he needs to relax and do the best he can to think about something else besides the anxious thoughts that constantly bombard him.

Sometimes the best way to do this is to keep busy, exercise, eat well, etc... but the best thing you can do is breathe! Just breathe and relax the mind as best you can. Know it will pass.

It might help him to talk about what is going on. Talk about his trip that night. Perhaps some core unresolved dormant issues were tapped? Hard to say unless he starts to talk about it. Put it all out there. Deal with those emotions in a safe and healthy way. Time will help a lot. Sometimes that is what is needed. The stress of it all can just leave someone a little bit in shock. Takes a little while to come back to baseline.

Maybe try smoking a little weed? Go for a walk. Talk it out.

Please keep us posted on how your brother is doing. Would be interested to hear about all this from him.

Hey dude

it seems that your bro had something in him that cause this reaction, from what you said, the best you can do i think, it's like DmnStr8 said, ask about his emotions during his travel, it's not common that ppl react like this after a mushroom travel. Something my not be digested and his second brain try to speak about ...

Of course i'm not a doctor or specialist, so take my advice as a friend advice, try to spend some time or more time with him, try to encounter what's going in his head, then as it's your bro you may know him better than anyone.

Peace

Very sorry to hear that this happened to your brother. It sounds like he was very traumatized by that bad trip. From the info that you provided I would have to agree with the doctors that anxiety is now causing the vomitting. Are you 100% sure that he did not take anything else with the mushrooms?

The bigger concern for me would be that a 20 year old man may be beginning to experience the onset of Schizophrenia or some other serious mental disorder, aggravated by the bad trip. Hearing voices from 1/8th of cubes? I would be very concerned that a serious, deeper psychiatric disorder is surfacing now, brought out by the trauma of the bad trip.

I wish there was more we could tell you about how to help him. Love him and try to be there for him as much as you can, but also realize that this may be a really difficult road ahead for him. But dont give up hope that he can regain stability over time, because that can happen too. Just try to be there for him as much as you can, even if it feels like he doesnt want it. Let him know that he can always count on you
IT WAS ALL A DREAM
