I made a successful batch of each one using the 3x3 hour cooks. Then I reduced to about 1 liter and added in some B. Caapi 30:1 resin (150g with the Mimosa and 175g with the Acacia. The odd thing, and I am new to this is the range of dosage, and an unexpected reaction with vitamin C or citrus in general.
The initial dosage has been from 15 to 20ml. The second dose about an hour later anywhere from 5 to 15ml (people tend to have a good accurate sense of the number by then).
The brews are now over a month (almost two) old. The dosage hasn't really change much, but it seems it has got to be irregular about showing up so to speak.
A female friend that had went in with 20ml, then the second dose of only 5ml had a very powerful experience the first time she tried the Mimosa tea. The second time (about 5 weeks later with the same brew), she took 20ml and felt nothing after an hour, then sort of giving up had a chunk of an orange to eat. It was on her like a freight train in 10 minutes, and she never even had a 2nd dose.
Then a few more people that were also reporting it to be a bit sluggish to show up experimented with eating orange pieces and lemon pieces. They launched into very powerful experiences.
So,...my question;
What is this interaction with citrus or vitamin C? There seems to be a profund effect generated when it is added into things.
Is ph level somehow playing a major role here that I need to understand?
I would add also that I did not moniter ph levels while brewing at all. I simply added 60ml of white vinegar to 3l of distilled water and simmered 3 hours x 3 times.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
