Hi Everyone,

I finally feel like I have enough experience to post. Thanks to everyone on the nexus here for getting me to this point. My question is this:

I have smoked on caapi tea and without but have been unable to break through. My GF did go "through a tunnel into space" last time we smoked on caapi and she smoked less than me. Tonight I just had a session smoking what I guess was 15-20 mg twice. Its possible its not enough to break through but I seemed to be told that it is a lifelong experience, sort of like an easily accessible peak of a psilocybin trip to be used for meditation; and that chasing a "breakthrough" is not really the point...

Thoughts? Im trying to decide if its a good idea to push further now with larger doses or just take it as it comes and listen to the DMT.

I could be also trying to ask the question, whats the point of large doses needed to breakthrough? Any advice is helpful.

Hey there!
I personally use 60-100mg to have a break through. At first (early 201Cool I was using like 35 to 50mg and still had amazing journeys. I do have to warn though if you just jump from 15 to 100 mg you might not be as prepared, and again this is just from personal experience, I get lots of anxiety before bigger doses and sometimes it makes the journey it bit chaotic and hard to remember.
And if you feel like you aren't ready just stick to the dose your mind feels is right and wait until you feel comfortable upping your dose. Sometimes I don't even use my scale when I meditate and if I don't break through I still enjoy the music and the positive energy I get while meditating.

How are you smoking it? Id say 99% of the times people are not breaking through (if they want) is that the smoking method is not ideal. You can check the FAQ for more info, and as said there and i do agree, convection based vaporization methods such as the GVG or something like the green buddha are far superior than other methods both in term of smoothness of vapor, as well as efficiency, so you need less to get farther. A 30mg dose should be more than enough for a breakthroguh with the right method (coming from a naturally very insensitive person)

That being said, I think there is something to what you said. I think if you are smoking/vapping it, it is cool to eventually have a breakthrough experience at least once to see what it is like, but long term, personally I feel that it is not such a learning experience and help to self development as a slower gradual oral dmt experience would be. So my other question to you would be, why not simply take it orally then instead of smoking?

Indeed check your smoking method and technique.

Regarding dosage I advise to approach gradually with 5mg increments until you find your comfort dose. After you have had several comfort dose trips do 15mg increment for the next one and be ready to let go is completely.
